  1. actually sourced it and sent it to him (through suppliers who sell to luthiers and custom shops- its no secret by now I'm a bass dealer) it was sourced in the US
  2. yeah - sanding finished and just got it first coat of oil (of about ten apparently) so ... in next 3 5 month I guess. no idea. (its gonna have a Darkglass pre amp with dual coil in wooden covers)
  3. return. While not crazy money for a custom - still substantial money. even 500 euro sire come better finishes
  4. enjoy - they're quite something. No compromise , nothing. Really bad ass things.
  5. sure. I get many UK customers doing this. Very often much cheaper to fly or Eurostar over and take a crappy hotel.
  6. DAMN ! HAHA.... 1 : I did not even know such things existed lol 2 : I don't compute how you play that thing .... must feel like a boat
  7. no idea - I let him do his thing. Last I heard 2 3 month ago he was waiting for some nice roasted ash (I think) for the body gonna be banging.
  8. Sorry dude haha - is that a Typo or your bass is actually 43 scale??
  9. I had one in stock - they are mad mad mad value for money to me. Not sure they're "proper" Spector , still amazing basses
  10. some people are mental shipping basses like that.... once a client returned a bass (which is his own right of course) and just gave the bagged bass to UPS without the outside packaging he received it with lol laziness to the next level
  11. very hard to say. ive seen so many "weird things" dealing with Vintage Fender Japan so I would say very possible however They obviously go for so much less money.
  12. don't sell until your custom is in your hands
  13. sounds about right from entering production in early December
  14. you'd have to count about 4 5 month from when it enters productions (I'm Bass freaks lol)
  15. I have .... a few and he's building me a headless 6 30 inch flamboyant with a MAD top
  16. could be super cool
  17. don't choose ash body - northern ash is heavier than most , Swamp ash is hugely inconstant weight wise just had a short scale 4 Ash chambered with USA hardware that came to 3,8 (which is fine for me)
  18. Dealer talking - I've had countless Jake in stock. Standard hardware + Chambered = 3,3 to 3,5 kilos USA hardware Ultralite bla bla + Chambered = 3 to 3,3 keep in mind this is not a science and the weight factor is VERY complicated to establish so those are rough estimates
  19. this is now sold in the US
  20. absolutely agree - you can get so so so so many things for such prices. now you cannot much if at all with their custom shop for less than 3,5 3,8k (I'm speaking in euro) but hey .... they have 2 and a half year waiting list officially (so probably closer to 3 year) so what can I say 🙂
  21. I'm not sure to be honest - I just suppose demand is far higher on import I do think that Canadian are 10 galaxy further up from import - so if one is able to afford them I'd highly recommend them absolutely world class
  22. hey , no , this is mine , customer changed his mind and bought a Canadian custom
  23. So apparently .... the 4 and 5 "production models" will be cream / Seam foam / Black cream will have maple fingerboard black and sea foam pao ferro both alder body
  24. what I can tell you is that 30 went to Europe 10 to Bass direct apparently I know Dingwall sold a few direct - sold out in minutes ....... rest for North America I guess
