2.
Your 1500A has the same circuit as the early TRB models, so that might go some way to explaining why you enjoy your TRB and BB so much. The range of tones available from the 1500A is amazing - and the level of fine adjustment when using the EQ in combination with the cavity trim pots is bewildering. One of my favourite BB models.
That's partly the reason why I like them both, you could make them both sound very similar, but you're right, tweaking the two EQ combinations in the cavity means you can have a really nice variety between them both, plus I've just put some TI Flats on the 1500A for the first time, so I am now truly a happy man with my sound
3. I've had a Mk1 TRB 4 for around 20 years and I love it, I've had many basses come and go and they've always come second best in my opinion, that's including, Fender Precisions and Jazzes, Pedullas, Stingrays, Status'. (But that's just my taste). There's just something about the feel and variety of tones I can get from it that I love, I also have a BB1500A which is a little similar and again love it to bits. Had a BB2005 which was an awesome bass but I just didn't get on with 5 strings. I think they are very underrated.

5. Just bought a Jackson Explorer off Gus, a genuinely nice chap to deal with, he's got a cool little dog too
6. This is seriously tempting, , and you're local Just need to work out how to keep my balls.
7. Just bought Johann's Sandberg off him, what a nice guy, pleasure to deal with.
8. As Paul Calf used to say 'Bag 'O Sh**e' Looks like it's been knocked up with a few spare parts and an old cupboard!
9. Now reduced from £1000 to £925 ONO and up on Ebay
10. That's just too nice for words! Trade you for the Mrs Slim Neck, lightweight body, but she sounds a bit whiney though
11. If I can shift mine this is so tempting!!!
12. Very nice, I bet it sounds fab with the TI flats on it
13. Lovely bass - someone buy mine so I can nab this It was made 876 days after I was born, which isn't relevant but just thought I'd mention it
14. Friday morning bump - please don't make me put this on Ebay
15. Ooh nice bass, why is it you always see a nice one when you're waiting for one to sell!!
16. I have finally come to the conclusion that 5 strings just aren't for me, I really have no use for one. This is a real top quality instrument but there's no point it sitting on my rack looking nice not being played. I would like to trade for a 4 string Stingray 3EQ, with a maple fingerboard or a Fender USA Standard Jazz with maple fingerboard, or if anyone has anything similar I'd be interested in having a look, sorry if this sounds quite specific. Failing that I'd accept £925 ONO. If you like Yamaha's the BB2005 is the closest thing you'll get to a BBNE2 without spending over £2000. Cheers - Martin
17. Just done a swap deal with John, excellent guy to deal with, keeps you informed, very professional. The bass is fab, just as described.
18. Bump - Still for sale or trade and still on Ebay too.
