  1. Looks exactly the same model as my old Westone, except mine had a black-painted neck.
  2. I can't think of a single song I hate. Not see the appeal of, or find boring, yes. But actually hate ? No.
  3. Wow, that looks fantastic. Really nice finish ! Beats my rather plain enclosure. It's blue and white like clouds cos it's a clean preamp...sort of made sense to me Look forward to hearing what you think of the preamp when it's all done..
  4. Now, you see....maybe we should all have a go at creating our own BC jingles. Bassists vs. The Robots
  5. I quite enjoyed the piece of music. Reminded me of Squarepusher, but on a Sunday morning Mad skills to boot.
  6. BTW @Kiwi, great idea Might be joshing the song, but thanks for setting it up 👍
  7. I'd completely disagree with you. The sound quality is amazing! You can really hear, with quite astounding clarity, that everybody singing has a large beard. Try headphones, maybe.
  8. Seeing as it was made by a machine and not a fellow musician, I feel I can dispense with tact and the appreciation due for another's artistic endeavours. It sounds like a mobile phone advert
  9. I wonder if Ashdown are recommending linear power suplies as some switching ones can be noisy. Not something I've found with the HB supplies BTW. In your situation, I'd try your Mooer unit - assuming it'll provide the 100mA - and see how it goes. The Boss 230 is worth a try if the Mooer doesn't work out. HTH
  10. How about one of the Harley Benton ISO models? I'm very pleased with my two - I have an ISO-5 and ISO-2. A few more power outs than you need at the moment, but good to have the extra slots. https://harleybenton.com/effects/power-supply/
  11. That's a big decision to make, but good for you for going with it. Bass will still be here if your world spins that way again. Have fun !
  12. Lovely. Black/Black/Maple is the best.
  13. Yep - ziptie it to a piece of board* and velcro that to your pedalboard. *Other thin, flat materials are available
  14. I have vague recollection of seeing some pictures of folky/prog bands using something similar for those tricky banjo/mandolin/dulcimer/sackbutt interludes. Deffo a touch of theatre for the band above, but quite a boon if you struggle with the weight of your instrument. Not sure I could stand still enough!
  15. I used Fast Fret for a year or two about 30 years ago. Apart from making the strings slippy I didn't feel it added much sonically to my set-up.
  16. I played a gig with a twice Mercury Prize-nominated drummer a couple of years ago. Not who we wanted, but the best dep we could get on the night.
  17. Despite rumours to the contrary, my curtain rings are the just the same size as everyone else's
  18. Thing is, Mr. Navarro could play my pubic hair strung across a curtain ring and make it sound great
  19. One bass, lots of basses, it really doesn't matter if you ask me. Be a purist or a polyglot....it's up to you. 👍 I have quite a few basses because I wanted them and could afford them. They'll all get sold eventually and they're all going to get some love until then. Rock what you got
