  1. Bugger, I just crafted the perfect 73 character password.
  2. You don't need an email address to log into Basschat, just a username and password is enough. I think you can choose username or email off memory.
  3. Hopefully if you contact Paypal or your bank and explain what happened, they may be able to do something for you. I know its already been said countless times before, but please, please don't use Paypal F&F to buy anything on here unless they ARE your friend or family and you know its them. Insist on normal goods/services paypal, and if the fee is an issue for the seller, offer to pay the extra 3% to cover it (and yourself). If they still don't agree to use it, and cash on collection isn't an option, run a mile. Thanks to those who reported the threads and alerted the team, we acted as quickly as we could. An event like this is VERY rare on Basschat but everyone needs to remain vigilant, especially when it comes to sending money to people you don't know in an insecure way. And yeah, if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't.
  4. Well done to those who reported the "too cheap" sales threads tonight, hopefully saved a few people from scams!

  5. Does anyone have a Mono Tick case they aren't using?  DM me!!

  6. I made an unattractive snort when I saw this, bravo And wow, now stop showing me pictures before I do myself a mischief....
  7. Feel like we need a scale shot of this one, that's crazy light for what it is! Lovely looking thing!
  8. Another excuse for a snap of this beauty, but I posted a thread others may have missed looking for a high quality case that fits headless basses well, and can confirm that the Mono Vertigo guitar case is a perfect fit for mine. Expensive but can highly recommend!
  9. Sounds nice, something of a mid way point between a Stingray and a Wal tone, modern sounding but has some of that mid character.
  10. Interesting read. I am thinking of picking up a Lekato MS-1 for live use. Band is struggling along on a basic Gear4music IEM system and the receivers are becoming less and less reliable, so i'm wondering if this is a short term solution to risking silence at a gig, if they will work well enough, before I magic up the money for a proper system.
  11. I would have agreed with you without trying it as it looks like it would pull the body away from you going under, but I actually found going over knocked the balance a bit off for me. Not sure if its just the strap or the way I wear it, but it was tugging the top horn up too much, much preferred it this way. Wish I could have it the other way, as it would mean I could use the same strap on both basses!
  12. Took the M4 on stage for the first time last night, had a great time and had plenty of suitors!
  13. I'm not in a position to help financially buddy, I think we're all feeling it horrifically at the moment, but if there is anything else the forum collective can do then happy to help 🖤
  14. Used Flea does seem your best bet, they sound fantastic and the relicing isn't awful. Tight budgets its always best to buy used on here or Reverg/eBay (I'd avoid Facebook etc unless you can play them first), most bang for buck and you'll likely lose very little if it isn't for you.
  15. Have to say, at ~£1,500, it shouldn't have any flaws. I'd have sent it back for the issues you've listed if you paid anything like that. I agree that I would rather they drop the fancy woods and fancy features than have a bass with a myriad of finishing issues and just build a good bass worthy of the price point. Dingwall absolutely nailed that whole ideology with the combustion series, though sadly they're becoming far from affordable now.
  16. About half the current market price surely? Bargain!!
  17. Can confirm the Vertigo guitar case is a perfect fit for my 105cm headless, highly recommend 👍🏻
  18. So I went with the Mono Vertigo guitar case and can confirm it's a spot on fit for my Leduc! My Leduc measures 105cm long and it still has a teeny bit of room to spare at the top, so we'll worth considering for shorties/headless basses of a similar length.
  19. AH okay didn't know that, fair enough then! Perhaps I am also talking of my experience with a different preamp, the one I had (and found transparent, and thus quite revealing of the chinese Bart character) was the one fitted to an SRMS805?
  20. I didn't have any issues with the preamp, seemed pretty transparent. I found the BH2s themselves to be very lacking in high end clarity and deep lows, "woolly", as I think someone put it, describes them well. They're just not very exciting pickups. The upgrade I did to real Barts was night and day, and Nordstrand models naturally have a ton more high end, but in fairness they're a different type of Pickup altogether (single coil models in the ibbys, aren't they?)
  21. I've just taken a risk and ordered a Mono Vertigo guitar bag as it should fit my Leduc Headless, which is around 105cm long. Ill let you know if it fits, but I imagine your ibby will be a similar length?
  22. There are a few bits I don't like. The contour on the back feels odd, I really don't like how there's an odd space between the bottom of the fretboard and the body on the treble side, but otherwise I like the concept, just not the execution re: specs. As for so many for sale, typical ibanez really, they make tons of the tons of different types and as such there's a lot around used too. Nothing unusual I wouldn't say personally.
  23. Not sure what you meant to post but that's just a search for every time Hiscox has been used in a post? Incidentally, no-one seems to have given an option on the OPs (a) or (b), just the usual suggestion of (c) 😂
  24. Think the simple answer is any one bass can technically cover any song, just as one shirt can cover any social event, but naturally you may want something better suited to the gig. You wouldn't wear a hawaiian shirt to a funeral. You could, it would do the job, but there are other choices that would do a "better" job.
  25. Sounds insane. We will of course have to insist that you share what you can do with this on bass!
