  1. Sold pending!
  2. A set of Fender flatwounds trimmed for and lightly used on a Precision Bass. Postage in the UK included. Very good condition.
  3. To be honest I’d prefer a local sale, Ive already had an enquiry about posting it but having checked it out I’m not sure - I doubt I would be able to insure it properly. I think it will be a nightmare to post this safely at a reasonable cost. Sorry.
  4. Postage is an option on the understanding that it would be at your expense/risk and full insurance would be required. It is risky posting it as it’s an odd thing to pack but I can put extra packing round the headstock and wrap it in the cardboard it came in with extra around the head. It will cost around £25/30 to post insured however.
  5. I got this from eBay as it was a bit of a bargain, it cost me £125 plus postage. There’s a thread below about some fellow Basschatters experiences. Mine turned up in good condition though minus one of the braces and with knobs that work but turn indefinitely. It plays and sounds fine with a few dings - alas it’s not for me however I just don’t get on with the body - or lack of it. So it’s here for sale at £125. I really do not want to post it as it will be very awkward and the fact I received it in one piece is frankly a miracle! I may trade for a Squier P Bass or decent P Bass neck with maple board. No other trades thanks. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/313608-stagg-eub-bargains/
  6. Yes it is B-C
  7. Cheers guys, more info - after some research - it’s from 1998 and it has alnico pickups (single coil), 35” scale and 3 band eq.
  8. No not this one mine was white
  9. Good to hear from Dave the original owner - mine was a 4 and an 8 and I also had a fretted and fretless. I got both on a whim and quickly sold them as they were heavy beasts! The 8 string was nice to play but a bugger to keep in tune! There’s an 8 string Shergold at Bass direct at the moment - it’s been there for ages I asked him if they’d accept a sensible price but they declined
  10. It’s over priced they tend to go for under a grand. I’ve had two - the modulator doubles are the more collectible because of the Rutherford connection. Shergold is a great make but these are niche instruments not the most practical of double necks as they are very neck heavy thanks to the multitude of tuners!
  11. As long as they are not his returns!
  12. Lancaster
  13. Here’s a rather lovely Yamaha TRB 6 Japanese model. I think it dates from the early 2000’s as the previous owner bought it used around 10 years ago. It’s active for a wide variety of sounds and a broad tonal range. The neck is straight and true, frets have plenty of life and it has a low action. I’ve not touched the trussrods but they look in good condition the laminate neck is wide but comfy due to the shallow profile. All hardware is gold plated and the body and headstock fascia has a transparent red/cherry finish. Typical Yamaha exceptional build quality it’s a very playable high 6 string for not much dosh. No trades sorry, this comes with a gigbag so I’d prefer pickup. UK only. There’s one cosmetic ding on the body near to where the neck bolts on and a couple around the body edge, the neck is excellent. The back cover of one tuner is missing. The bass weighs a healthy but well balanced 5.2kgs.
  14. Calling Adee...again
  15. Good stuff Si - the headstock could be a cheap and easy fix - is the preamp ok? Local guitar luthier in Lancaster Paul Guppy fixed his own Stagg that had a headstock break. My mate has also asked to return his as it’s not up to the job.
  16. Mine has turned up in decent condition as the headstock had been properly protected - the strings aren’t great but I think I have some spares. The pots turn infinitely too but work. There was a brace missing but I didn’t like the higher brace when I played one before. My mate bought one and it turned up in a bit of a mess so I guess this is the luck of the draw! Immediately realised why I sold my original one a few years ago as it doesn’t do my back and shoulder many favours.....😮
  17. They won’t pay insurance for that, UPS specify that items ought to be packaged properly. Hope you get your cash return Si - Why do people not put a bit of effort into shipping these things?
  18. Damn sorry to hear that Si - no one was in when they tried to deliver mine, hopefully it will come tomorrow in one piece.
  19. £440 price reduction
  20. Yes it was someone called Greg and I’m afraid my answer to his offer was rather curt. I often wonder if people automatically assume you are desperate for cash when you try to sell on eBay? Anyway the offer was dismissed I think he has bought one from me before but through John Carling and that was for a lot more money!
