1. Badass II bridge in chrome for sale, this is the 'classic version' for toploading Fender basses. 78 quid posted as new - paypal 'gift' is easiest for me.
2. Hi I have owned my TE AH130 for years and it was my main amp in the studio until just over a year ago when it developed a massive buzz/hum noise. I took it in for repair at my local music shop anyway after nearly a year I picked it up today and paid 144 quid for the work, got home plugged it in and ...... it's still buzzing! In all fairness to the shop they send gear out for repairs so not an issue with them but has anybody out there had similar problems with Trace Gear of this era (its tolex covered so GP7SM series)? The buzz is so intrusive its like having a giant fridge being amplified by a PA and yes I have tried other leads, cabs, outlets, I A-B tested it with my very ancient Carlsbro amp and my Markbass and they had none of this. I have emailed the shop but wondered if anyone knew of a solution? So far this has been a very expensive waste of time! Cheers
3. Yep I will always keep a Grabber in my collection of basses.
4. Is it a 'Lichtenbacker' or a 'Richtenstein'?
5. Its one of my lovely old Gibson Grabbers, this one is a 70s one with maple neck. The scratchplate has been replaced as the original was warped although I have kept the slider assembly. The bass was refinished black rather roughly but looks fine given the bass is well gigged! There are dings a plenty but no cracks or anything nasty and the truss rod is fine. Plays and sounds great, through body strung, nice weight. Gone!
6. The neck is just gorgeous on this one and the sunburst finish gives it real class, unfortunately its not being played due to my ongoing obsession with my old faithful 70s Precision, this must go soon or I fear an ebay moment.......

8. Thanks, glad you like it! This bass is gorgeous too, come on make me an offer Basschatters!
9.
Had lots of offers and interest but nothing firm yet so - bump!
Another price drop....no more interest in the JB?
10.
The full pic of the bass is 'wobbly' so can you tell us about the bridge please? Looks like a quick string release type.
Sorry didn't realise the pic I'd uploaded was flakey. The bridge is the original 50s/60s type with knurled saddles and flat head screw height adjusters so no - not a quick release type this is all as it should be for the era with the exception of the Jazz pickup. I will try and swap for a better picture!

I bought an Ashdown 4x6 Mini from Martin, great cab, great bloke and the owner of the best looking Status bass I have ever seen! Cheers, Ash
14. Well the only bass I ever regretted selling was my original JV Jazz bass when I was a student!
15. Looking to move this on it's a Squier JV P bass from around 1984, it plays and sounds great and appears original with the exception of the control knobs/extra pot, a couple of replaced screws and a Seymour Duncan Basslines Jazz pickup at the bridge. The neck is lovely with a nice amber vintage patina to the laquer. There are dings and scuffs but nothing nasty, the electrics are fine and there is play on the trussrod. The neckplate is stamped with the JV serial. It has a lovely tobacco sunburst and off white scratchplate, no case included. JV prices are going crazy for totally original basses so I guess with the extra pickup this isn't a collector's piece but a proper player's bass, gone please remove!
16.
Schaller magnetic URB pickup. (classic 50's chrome design) Used, but works perfectly and looks as new. Bought from Gollihur music USA but now I use guts so no use for this anymore. £50 posted.
PM'd
17.
Bolt on Shaftesbury. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1980s-Shaftsbury-Bas...=item3f0b654612
A quick disappearance eh? Didn't think Shaftesbury's ever did a bolt on, probably an Aria or a ply Hondo - although the Rickenwaffe were in so quick I didn't get to see it!
18.
Ash, what counts as an "interesting trade"?
Quality basses, analog synths, was after a Markbass extension cab but that's not really needed now, don't need any amps. 6 string basses? Certainly no cheapies! This bass is worth a lot in terms of rarity, craftsmanship and playability but I guess my price indicates its 'niche' appeal (current JB Rick types will set you back 1400 pounds!).
