  1. I had an operation on my right wrist around 6 years ago due to RA and had a titanium bar put in. I had another op in February to take it out as a couple of the screws had come loose and were giving me a lot of pain. I now have now an extremely painful right wrist as the original op didn't fuse the bones properly. After seeing my surgeon on Friday, I'm waiting for a CT scan to see if anything can be done. Options are A. Nothing can be done. B. Another bar inserted and c. A new thumb joint replacement. d. Knocking one out with my left hand. I'll keep you posted.
  2. I've used that studio too. Just brilliant.
  3. I started on piano at the age of 8. I then went onto double bass at the age of 13. I then started playing a bass guitar at the age of 15. Still playing bass at the age of 64 and struggle to play my Strat.
  4. I don't like relic basses as I would miss the massive guilt trip and disappointment of putting the first ding on a new one.
  5. Been there, done that. Still get GAS and buy basses that I will never gig. Can't be arsed though. Just enjoy the occasional jam.oh and after 50 years of gigging, I still think I'm crap
  6. Very cool. I've always wanted one too. @Happy Jack has one, I need to pester him to sell it to me. Enjoy.
  7. I've recently seen Martin Turner, Ex Wishbone Ash live. Outstanding band. I wouldn't go to see Wishbone Ash with Andy Powell though but that's for a different thread.
  8. I'm with Lozz. He should work his holidays around the gigs. He needs to show some professionalism.
  9. Well played Sir, I enjoyed that. The lass has a hell of a good voice.
  10. The Yes album, Fragile and mostly everything else that Chris Squire played on.
  11. Boz Burrell and Chris Squire were hugh influences on my early bass playing years. So I bought a fretless Rickenbacker. That didn't work out well as I couldn't play like neither of them. I just sounded like an out of tune T.w.a.t for a while. I then got a Precision and sounded like an in tune T.w.a.t..
  12. That looks fabulous. Congratulations.
  13. If I show you mine, will you show me yours.😃 Edit for I blame @Teebs for the smutty enduenue in my posts.
  14. A lot of venues insist that you show them that your gear has a valid PAT test certificate.
  15. I'm looking forward to seeing the YouTube video. Well done that man and thanks for sharing.
  16. For me, John Entwistle and Martin Turner. John was instrumental ( get It) in the development of Roundwounds and Martin for his melodic basslines with Wishbone Ash. Both big influences to my playing.
  17. My first bass in 1972. Gigged to for 2 years then bought a Rickenbacker 4001 fretless. Both of them were sh!t. Bought a '75 Fender Precision in that year and never looked back.
  18. What a fabulous looking bass. Enjoy.
