Idle curiousity here, nothing more. Does your drummer slow down? Or speed up? Or do they keep consistent near-perfect timing?
All of the above, at various times ..
Nice pictures, I've been looking at prices of stands generally and this one seems really expensive. Thanks for putting those up Kembo
Yeah it does seem a shame that they make the most budget EUB going but then charge a big wedge for the stand ... The Hercules grabber still wins for me not least because I can use it for a bass guitar as well.

First of all are you elevating your combo on a beer crate, amp stand or chair? Try that first as it hell of a lot easier than adding another cab. Then assuming your guit@rists and drummer are not going to play less loud (which is the ideal solution) try tweaking your eq. I personally find boosting the 2k works for me. The classic "smile" shape on the eq guarentees I just can't hear it in band situation... So try gently boosting each eq level one at a time (probably the mids or upper mids) and see if that helps. If you do get a 2x10 stick it on top of the combo and if you can, angle it at your ears..

All the better cos he was such a friendly, interesting person to deal with. Happing honking Si...........
Brass? BRASS! Us woodwind players get so upset to be lumped in with the spit 'n' fart merchants on their trumpets and sousaphones and tenor horns! Oh, sorry. Thanks mate .. pleasure doing business with you too

Hi I have a Randall 90's Bi amp, the RB2000 It's fine in Biamp/two speaker mode but buzzes when plugged up to use one speaker. To do this they say use a guitar lead and plug the flat out into the effects return of the relevant amp. I've had it looked at by the guy who does that stuff around here and he's au fait with old amps and stuff but can't find anything to fix .. He's making "be Ok live, maybe they all do that" noises.. Randall have replied to my email by sending two guitar wiring diagrams and a set for a RB200 which is a totally different amp .. They just emailed the wiring diagrams, no actual correspondence at all good customer service eh? So ..... any ideas?

Will a 62 Precision scratchplate fit a Squier JV P-bass
OldGit replied to Twigman's topic in Repairs and Technical
Definitive answer here, as I had the same problem with my '57 P Bass... Sorry, no it won't!! Subtle but different shape, and none of the screw holes will line up. Don't waste your money trying out for yourself, go find a luthier with the scratchplate and he'll stencil a template and get a new one made! It was a while back. but I think I paid about £40, for the guitar tech at what used to be Sound Control in Bristol, to do mine. Hope that helps!
The Tech that used to be at Sound Control is Eltham Jones .. He's still hanging out in the cave at the back of Reverb in Bristol.. here's his website http://www.edgeguitarservices.co.uk/index.htm -
Simon!! It's a shame to hear that you need to let this one go! This bass is absolutely stunning.. and as Walbassist has said.. this is a lot of bass for under a grand, practically a give away to any interested buyer. Highly recommended! Hopefully picking my new Shuker up at the weekend!
Cheers Dood .. I so very lucky to have the Shuker P5, so life will continue ... Hoefully this one will make someone very happy and without the year's wait for a build. It's not as wild as some customs so I'm hoping someone will consider it who otherwise may have looked at a Super Jazz 5 ..

Ah nice .. I too had a height problem with just one Schroeder cab. I now sandwich my 3u amp rack with the Bergs to get the top one nearer my head. Works fine but I do strap it all together to prevent any walking about .. Side handles are a luxury. The single top strap on the AE12, although perfectly adequate for such a light cab, are a pain when stacking things on top - other than a cab with feet

Edit: *** Sold subject to the usual *** Needs must .. For sale my gorgeous 2007 Shuker 5 string Bolt On White Ash body with a Camphor Wood cap and headstock front. 34 inch scale Maple neck and fingerboard Carbon rods in the neck and a satin finish. 21 frets 19 mm string spacing Flat and wide neck Nordstrand DC5 pickups with the Serial option (switchable), Jon Shuker 3 band EQ with trimmable centre point for the middle control Very wide range of tones available. Orange LED sidemarkers. The switch is on the back. Comes with Elixirs and a Shuker signature Hiscox Liteflite case. Finished in November 2007 and very low mileage. I think it's only done 3 or 4 gigs. Build diary starts here Pictures are here and here .. It was made for playing but my Shuker P5 fits me so well that this beauty cannot complete. I really am best suited to simple basses ... so this is just not getting played and that's just not right. I'm in Cardiff but can travel to deliver.
Salutations and Huzzahs the Stagg is risen . Last night I spent a few hours trying to find away to attach the volume and sub bass spindles to the pots on the pre amp. Glue was too risky for obvious reasons and the hole is too small to get any sort of wedge into the housing. After a few tears and rants, I came up with the idea of making a little indent in the shaft with some snips to see if that would locate on the housing and hold the spindles in place. Partial success. Its not a permanent fixing, but the control knobs stay where they should be now. Its still quite easy to pull them off so I will just have to not pull them off. Anyway it works and I am now back in the land of functioning Stagg. Im also going to take Andyalphas recommendation and get the purpose built stand. It might be more Maxcat proof than the hercules. Cheers
Phew!
I know this doesn't help the current situation, but to avoid any further disasters, you should consider one of these... I've got one and it's pretty sturdy and folds up quite small. It's a Foldable SV-EDB stand, made by Stagg specifically for the Stagg EUB. They are around £45 or so, which is cheaper than buying a new instrument.
How does it mix with guinness?

PAT testers who'll do bands or small batches of kit
OldGit replied to Telebass's topic in General Discussion
Hi We offer a national service for PAT Testing. Although we might charge a bit if we have to drive 300 miles to get to you, we often have engineers across the UK so we might have somebody nearby. We normally charge £59.00 for PAT testing a DJ / Solo musician with up to 20 items, and £99 for PAT Testing for a Band (up to 50 items) If we can't help directly, we can probably put you in touch with a local PAT testing company. We've just revamped our website, but we're putting lots of useful information about PAT Testing on there - as this forum shows, there is a lot of mis-information out there. PAT Testing Hope this helps Tim James PAT Testing Expert Ltd
Thanks That looks good. It would be nice if your prices were easy to find on your website, Pat, and the price for training. Regards, OG
