    Currently using Schroeder 1212L, either singly or as a pair. Also have a Schroeder 2x10 + 12 which I may sell or might just see if I can find another and use the pair. One day I'd like to try a BF S12 and a 69'er just to satisfy my curiosity.

[/quote] Impedance varies with frequency and cannot be measured with a multimeter. The pure resistance of a 4-ohm speaker will be in the order of 6-ohms.

    Lift the control plate and check the pick-up wires. Aero pickups have black and white plastic wires. Laklands have red and black, and green and black wires. Lindy Fralin are black and white cloth covered wires.

    For years I gave gone without effects but recently decided that some of our songs needed a little something to fill them out so I've just stated using an EH Octaver, Mesa Boogie V1 Bottle Rocket and a Boss Chorus on a pedalboard, plus I've ditched the dbx compressor for the moment and added a Boss half rack graphic EQ in the amp's Effects Loop.

    Just dug out my '77P and that doesn't have that screw fitted however a photo of a previously owned '78 does have that screw. A late '80s Jap Precision didn't have it so maybe it's a Fullerton thing.
