Quality Set ups in the Aberdeen/Tayside
Quail-ty? That must be me - you're a veggie
Touché. Actually I hurriedly typed that up on my phone literally 30 secs before going on stage last night - I'm surprised my T9 let that one through like. -

Whatever you do stay away fae RnB unless you actually like paying through the nose to have your bass chewed up. I'll extend the same invitation as Neepheid. Of course only one of us can do a "quailty" set up. -

Dunno. Open her up and vacuum out any dust n crap and maybe a bit of switch cleaner for the pots and see how that goes. -
I've got a Mini Cooper S. It's amazing what you can fit in there with the seats down
I can believe you. I think I remember Mr. Clarkson off TG saying that the mini has the exact same wheelbase as a Range Rover or something. Not as "mini" as we generally think.
If you're on a public road then you can't be sure there's no-one around. You could be the drifting champion of the world but if someone less 'skilled' than you pulls out (maybe because they can't judge speed) in front while you're 'learning your limits' you're gonna be in trouble. Similarly you could meet someone learning their limits coming the other way. I love driving, I love speed, and there are plenty of places where you can find your limits in a controlled environment (run what you brung) or have a blast in something you'll never be able to drive normally (track days). Anything else is just stupid in my opinion.
The point is that a skilled driver already knows this and has adjusted to suit. There are drivers and there are drivers. -

I think it's a piss-take just to draw attention to it or to make gullible buyers think they've stumbled upon a bargain.

I was about to un-subscribe from this topic coz it was starting to descend into something it shouldn't. Thanks Alex for injecting some sense back into it. -
My own chariot is a 1995 Toyota Corolla hatch. Can just about get everything in with the back seats folded, it's old and battered and I don't give a hoot if it gets scratched or dented. Also it still has an actual engine and not a collection of plastic boxes filled with electronics, so it can be fixed by a mechanic and not a bloke with a laptop. Several of my mates have been driven to the brink of bankruptcy recently with the price of diagnostics and repairs on modern cars.
Had a '92 (white). Was one of my most reliable cars ever - never failed a MOT. The downside of course was 0-60 in 16 IIRC. I still see it bopping about town from time to time. -

For gigs in town I choose to walk, coz "the man" isn't down with me driving home pissed. Out of town gigs I get all my gear and our lead guitarist gear in the back of my 54 2 door Megane II somehow. For gigs in other systems I prefer the Millennium Falcon - she can do the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs which gives you more time for setting up. -

Who remembers Don't Ask Me? The show that had school playgrounds across the country full of kids all doing Magnus Pyke and David Bellamy impersonations and also responsible for bringing House Of The King into the nations living room once a week. -
You can put the tissues away. It's up to the giddy price of £3.20 now.

Not mine (I'd never sell mine ). Very low starting price. No reserve. Worth watching -> linky Oh aye, it has no feet (in the pic at least)

I was humming and haying. Bidding went a little crazy in the end. 51 quid all in - too rich for my blood. Probably would've regretted it anyway.
-
-
Yep, you got it.
-
Probably not. My NAD system still has the original mains cables - I'm not convinced that this upgrade would make much diff. However decent interconnects really do make a difference - after you've splashed out on crazy speaker cable of course.
