Can you not do this yourself..? Duplicate a dozen CDs, get a dozen crystal cases, print out a dozen labels and CD inserts and you're done..? When stocks go low, print out another batch. Of course, if sales take off massively, there's still time to get a more 'pro' approach, but until then... No good..?

Can you imagine someone flying to Scotland for eighteen holes of golf, then flying back to Milwaukee, for their sole pleasure (and because they have the wherewithall, of course...)..? I don't see any difference (except for the wherewithall, of course..!).

S'odd; I found quite the opposite.

On the other hand, they were excellent and rapid in supplying me with an HA3500 toric mains transformer, a couple of years out of guarantee, to France. I've still got the amp, but haven't used it for quite a while. Thumbs up for Korg UK from me.

I've done it before and, health permitting, would do it again. Why the question..? Is it so hard to 'get'..? Some folks travel half-way round the world to play a round of golf.

I think that a lot of the confusion comes from the semantics. While it's possible to use a compressor as an 'effect' (and it can be very beneficial in that role, or not...), that's not the same as using a compressor as 'treatment', where (if correctly applied...) it is always beneficial. If they were different units (FX compressor as a stomp-box, treatment compressors as rack units...), they'd be a bit more clarity. Until then, there'll be lots of folks arguing for one use, but ignoring the other. FX..? Debatable; the jury's out, discussing personal tastes and musical styles. Treatment..? Done and dusted decades ago, nothing to see here.

Designs..? You speak in jest, Shirley..? A lot of thought (and marketing...) has gone into each of those, but pretty..? Nah..! I don't doubt their admirable qualities as playable instruments (well, actually, I do, a bit...), but they're all ugly (saving grace for the bodiless, headless, Steinberger-ish one, for its symmetry, but it ain't beautiful, but any stretch...). Anyone think the opposite..? Hmm; thought not.

Exactly. If Fender had released the P-bass with that Tensor shape at the time, then Tensor now released the P-bass shape, I'm pretty certain the comments would be the same: 'It's fugly', just because it's not the familiar shape.

Somehow..? Neither of those look much like a guitar at all. This is a guitar that could lay at least some claim to beauty... 'The eye of the beholder' and all that, of course, but there's really nothing 'right' about any Fender, or similar; they're all amorphous lumps of painted wood; as much resemblance to a guitar as a Salvador Dali fob-watch.

You really are a funny old lot. The Fender Precision, and its stable mate, the Jazz, provoked pretty much those same reactions from the staid, fuddy-duddy bass players of the day when they were announced. I don't think many, if any at all, were saying 'Now there's a nice-looking bass'. The terms of reference were very different; folks had the idea that 'bass' meant 'upright double bass'. Now, it seems, 'bass' means 'Fender', and any deviation from the terms of reference seen as 'ugly'. As an object of beauty in its own right, I'd put up very few bass guitars; even very few instruments at all. Bongo, anyone..? Firebird..? Seriously..? Amorphous slabs of painted wood; nothing graphically exciting in any sunburst (maybe, perhaps, a violin finish on a semi-acoustic, if I stretch a bit...). Still, it's healthy, I suppose, to pitch tar and feathers on anyone trying to break the mould, but those wishing for innovation and progress seem hard to please, somehow. Yes, it's ugly. In exactly the same way, and for exactly the same reasons, as most basses are ugly. You really are a funny old lot.
