  1. ... It's that 'Eye' in the bar at the top of the Edit box. Hover the mouse over each and learn what they all are. (but don't go pressing the 'Eye' one several times over, or you'll be in for 30€ again...)
  2. Fixed. That'll be 30€, please. ...
  3. That would please me not at all..! I'm very fussy about the state of my cymbals; they're stored in Cymbags until the very moment we're about to play, and are the very first thing I cover over at the end. No-one, not even myself, touches my cymbals with their bare fingers, so as for using 'em as a drinks tray...
  4. Good afternoon, Baaheed , and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  5. Good afternoon, Arnel, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  6. There have been exceptions, where both myself and Lenny sneaked 'em into our respective compos. We didn't win, obviously, and anyway, they weren't Scottish bagpipes. We're not completely daft.
  7. Good evening, Biggles, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. How's Algy these days..?
  8. Good man..! I've asked on t'bay whether he'll post to France himself; if it comes to it, though, I'll PM you to see what needs doing. Hoping not to trouble you, but it's grand that you've offered. Cheers.
  9. Yes indeed; that's how we all do it..! ... No, seriously (well, almost...)... Each month's winner chooses the picture for the following month. That picture is supposed to be the inspiration for the composition of a piece of music (any instruments, not just bass, or even without bass at all..! No bagpipes, though... ). No longer than five minutes, and must be composed in the current month. Most folks post their compo's to Soundcloud (it's free for such use...). Three weeks later, the list of all entries is posted, and there's a week in which BC members can vote for their favourite tracks (usually three from the list...). The composer gaining the most votes chooses for the following month; rinse and repeat. Any clearer..? Jump on, in; the water's lovely. PS: here's a link to this month's Challenge... October Basschat Composition Challenge ...
  10. Depends how tired your leg gets... It does fold away, so is not too intrusive, and would be easily removed in any case. Still, maybe it's not for you, eh..?
  11. Oh, come now, Blue; surely you're not that dumb..?
  12. There's the deal-breaker for me; tutus don't suit me any more.
  13. The OP states cabs sold, and head withdrawn, so... belayed closure.
  14. I'd be interested in this (yes, I'm a Hofner fan; I've several, and these are pretty good instruments, too...). Slight snag: the fellow doesn't seem to offer posting to France. In the (unlikely...) event of my winning this, would anyone care to pick it up for me and post it on..? It's in Warrington. Any candidates..?
  15. Why does that not surprise me..?
  16. Close your eyes and they sound like an 8x10 cab..!
  17. Bolt-on or Through-neck..?
  18. Beep Beep, 'n Beep Beep, Yeah..!
  19. The drummer knows his onions, too. Good Stuff, once again proving that there is (or can be ...) humour in jazz.
  20. Not even his solo spot..?
  21. No, I've not one of these basses, but from the photos I see on t'web, I'd think it even more odd to have one's arm rested there, whilst playing, at least..! It's in the inside curve of the lower bout, and so quite protected, unless one uses the bass body as an arm-rest, and even then... You're very experienced in acoustic basses (far more than I, that's for sure..!); from what I see in your previously-posted videos (I'm watching 'In My Life' again right now, with much pleasure...), there'd be no problem. Hope this helps (but doubt it...). Also glad to see you're considering an acquisition; I'll assume things are looking up for you..?
  22. Daisy Rock instruments were originally targeted to the girl players, I believe, with their sub-title of 'The Girl Guitar Company'. They are (or can be...) excellent; I have owned a Retro-H twelve-string guitar for many years which is as fine a guitar as I need. Just sayin'.
  23. Ah..! My initiation, back in the day, to real music. Thanks for the memories (and to Andrew Yeaman, whose disk it was...).
