1. The Wiki looks good. I shall be hitting the donations button soon. Monthly pay blows
 2. A bass is a tool to do the job - it shouldn't be a struggle to play a bass with a neck not suited to you for the sake of tone. Well said.
Thinking about it!! Basically Im sick of keyboard players being so rare!!! And the ones you find either dont turn up when promised or turn up and do a 'Phoenix Nights' type audition, inc playing the death march to impress us!!!
So they are in short supply in your neck of the woods also, we had a brilliant k/player turn at an audition after advertizing in the loot, why the hell he turned up i don't know, he was already in a covers band that did weddings and corperate gigs so he was getting the money. and he was also backing a C/W singer that he backed on an album. after half an hour we thought he's perfect. he then emailed us a couple of days later saying he did'nt think he could fit us in he wasted our time really. the only other reply we had to our advert was some women asking if we could play at her sons birthday party sorry to go off topic. i was a bit annoyed.
 6. I can't recall seeing a fretless 4003 before, I wonder how much this will go for. http://cgi.ebay.ca/RICKENBACKER-FRETLESS-B...1QQcmdZViewItem

 8. I can't help with the neck fit sorry, but i had an Encore pbass back in the seventies, a burst with a tort guard and it played like a dream. a lovely bass, i basically swopped it for a velvet jacket (about £30) when i gave up playing. wish i had it now.
 9.
In terms of internet forums, 1000 members isn't really that impressive. Not sure if the press would take any interest?
What about featuring naked wimmen playing bass. or naked wimmen playing bass drinking beer? it might get us noticed. just a thought.
 10.
I remember seeing a guy on you tube ,playing a bass guitar(4 string) with a tremolo.and he sounded really nice.of course he had lighter strings on.jet harris had one on his bass but 6 strings. the thing is I like to know is can you buy them?I know what do you want them for? well I'd like to try something different.
Bloodaxe may be the guy on here to ask. he brought an Aria to the midlands bass bash, it sounded quite effective here's a pic, it's the one on the left
 11.
I have no problems with Firefox on Ubuntu and OS X, and Camino and Safari on OS X. Sounds like an IE thing. 19.
I just put up some Monster Bass Cables on ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1 I don't really know what their second hand price would be, which is why I've put them up for 99p, but you're welcome to make offers. 20.
Well just to prove myself wrong (re. my earlier affirmation that I don't like big flat slabs of wood with the word Fender on the headstock), I've bought a friend's Jazz. Guess what... I don't like it! Why do I keep doing this to myself. I grew up on Jazzes and up until I got my first Warwick I would have argued that the Jazz was the best and most versatile bass readily available. I keep convincing myself that they are great basses and I should own one, I try them out and think 'Yeh, I need one of those in my armoury' and then I live with it for a week and long for my Warwick. Please, please, please can those people on here who know me stop me from asking questions on BC about Fenders for sale and refer me back to this thread! Ta.
Was this after you saw Earl Hickeys burst Jazz?, when's it up for sale
 21.
A big hello to all Basschat Lefties. After speaking to Bigash and Lefty 68 we thought it would be a good idea to see how many of us there are in the membership, seeing as there are almost 1000! members there should be more than just 3! So if you're out there get in touch. Chees Steve. Sorry I forgot Qfunk
There was this thread not long back. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...;hl=left+handed

 23.
Oh yes, had to be.
Yeah, i'd like to know where he buys his second hand stuff, block inlays as well
