Does this have an early 70s TV headstock font? -
I do really like what this does but unemployment isn’t compatible with having 6 preamp pedals so something’s got to go. This pedal is pretty much all sweet spot. Simple controls with EQ at sensible frequencies. Very similar vibe to the Origin DCX Bass which I had side by side except the SA has an XLR out and more bass on tap. This does a nice transformer-style breakup and the Pultech EQ thing via two toggle switches. Really high quality headphone amp too. Has a high pass filter too, which isn’t seen so often. In outstanding condition with original box. -
Yeah, some folks have relabelled the slogan from “play for life” to “pay for life”.😂

Absolute bargain. If I didn’t already have one, I’d have been all over this. Don’t think I can justify having two of them! -
That’s a lot of sales. 3000 units in 28 hours and the next 3000 already sold in advance of production! They definitely hit the right combination formula of features and marketing.

There’s no expression output on the pedal. You can take the signal from the “envelope out” port and run it through an inverter and feed it back into the cutoff input jack, which is what you needed the CP-251 control processor for. -

Yeah, that was one of the reasons I returned the new one I bought. You needed to buy the control processor just to get a down sweep. PastFX do an excellent 101 clone in a normal-sized enclosure with solid build quality so I’m not as interested in this particular Behringer version, though I’m sure it’ll be good. -
Or Source Audio Lunar (or Mercury or Gemini), though volume control is only via the app when creating presets, which is a bit frustrating.

I don’t; I think the footprint is slightly smaller but deeper. Black Pearl is a loaner for comparison. Tempted to get one. Gigging with 5 MF pedals is mad. Need PastFX to make one of their shrunk-down clones of this like they did with the 101.

It’s a big beast; comically large. Can’t realistically get this on my Aclam board Knobs aren’t bolted to the case, which is disappointing, but I suspected might be the case, given the price. Sounds nice though. Seems to be a fair amount of top end roll-off compared to the Black Pearl (another MF-103 clone); the Wombtone has much more high-end clarity. Not sure whether I’ll keep it, mainly due to the knobs and the size.

I think I’m GAS free as for a long time I wanted this exact spec Sterling. Beautiful bass and these earlier ones with the recessed plate and bridge mutes are particularly lovely. -
