  1. Is it an active bass? Analogue octaves seem to work best with passive basses.
  2. Definitely read the TB threadon this and ask Angelo about anything which is unclear. He’s been very helpful and quick to respond.
  3. I’ve hooked up Glou Glou with Zach Rizer so am hoping there’ll be a good bass demo soon.
  4. It’s probably also worth checking out general subtractive synthesis tutorials so you’re familiar with what all the components of the editor actually are and do.
  5. More pralines video, fuzz this time:
  6. Do look at the Future Impact too though. Similar price but more feature-rich.
  7. Angelo, the pedal’s creator is active on the thread, has been answering our questions and posting samples of particular settings requested by users.
  8. Some really good sounds coming out of this. See page three: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/meris-enzo-synth-pedal.1362367/page-3
  9. I needed a 5V pedal for my synth (the EV-5 is 3V) so this is now surplus to requirements. It has a fair few scuffs (see photos) but is functional and has served me well for over ten years (though it’s only had pretty light use from me). Comes with a box, though for a different brand of pedal. I can post same day if payment is made by 8.30am.
  10. Another Pralines video, this time from Olivier’s channel. I haven’t watched as I’m not on WiFi.
  11. Thanks. I’m definitely going to check some out as they sound more to my taste than the Chromes I’m currently using.
  12. Sounds lovely. What gauge and type of Labella strings are those?
  13. First video:
  14. Pre-orders are open: https://glou-glou.org/pralines/
  15. Yes, I’d seen that one. The main thing I’m holding out for is that the envelopes are fast enough when in trigger mode. I’d suggest as many of us as possible contact Meris and ask them to send a review unit to Zach Rizer. I’ve already done so via their Facebook page.
  16. I’m sure it’ll be usable if playing above the 12th fret and pitching down.
  17. Yep, sounds like it was stuck on band pass for most of that demo.
  18. I’m definitely up for mail ordering one once they hit Europe and giving it a try.
  19. Here’s the hub-type interface: https://m.thomann.de/gb/meris_midi_i_o_midi_interface.htm Connects up to four of their pedals with standard TRS cables and standard MIDI cables and is a similar price to the SA Hub. No USB port though so appears that a MIDI-to-USB cable or wireless Bluetooth adapter is required fo PC connectivity to store SysEx files.
  20. @CameronJ I reckon one of these with or in a Wingbass would be killer.
  21. I’d suggest reading the manual to see exactly what it does: https://www.meris.us/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Meris_Enzo_Manual_v1c.pdf
  22. Quite right. As a way of becoming aware of pedals, I enjoy their videos, but often they don’t manage to show them off to their fullest potential and sometimes they’ve even bordered on misinformation. Zach Rizer’s reviews are much better in that regard as he is very knowledgeable about the technical aspects of each pedal and spends time meticulously showing what they can do.
  23. Not true, maybe you didn’t read all the specs or watch the video. This has 16 presets, accessible via a proprietary 4-button switch, expression pedal or anything which sends MIDI PC messages (though again it looks like there’s an extra box required similar to the SA Hub to access the last option)
  24. This has so much going on under the hood: ring mod, ladder and state-variable filters, arpeggiator, mono and poly modes, square and saw waves, pitch shifting, expression-peda-controlled patch morphing, delay, choice between envelope follower or triggered envelope! All controllable from the panel. Love the separate preset switching pedal too. https://www.meris.us/product/enzo/
