Thing is, I won't know what other cabs sound like until I try them all.... which is why I was kind of hoping for some advice about which ones are "best" - but it seems that there are far to many variables and personal preferences involved for there to be a simple "best" option! Which is kind of what I feared in the first place!
Out of interest, what do you mean by "might not agree sound-wise"? I understand that cabs made by different manufacturers may sound rather different, but can they be so incompatible?[/quote]
By not ageeing sound wise, I mean they'll be handling the power put in to them differently. If they are both the same impedance, they'll get the same power from the amp, but one might be a whole lot louder, whilst the other one might be struggling with the power, and you won't hear it being upset over the greater volume of the louder cab, so you break one (done with with the classic 1x15 and 4x10 + lots of distortion). Also, at certain frequencies, they might end up canceling each other instead of reinforcing, so make a hole in that frequency, ending up with a totally different sound to either cab, although you'll still be louder overall.
Edit: Also, I think the Big one is more for high powered SS amps than valve ones, the Vintage is for valves, takes less power to get loud, Big one is for epic bottom with lots of power.
