1. Anyone know of a good bass tuition system for home use? I want to learn theory too so it needs to be extensive from beginner to Sheehan ;o) Phil
2.
what are the rules concerning...setting the bow etc? i just set it
See here http://www.pittmanguitarrepair.com/index.c...849f496817a9522 and read the section on relief. Phil
3.
do you have one handy? you can do some measurements and calculate it pretty close
Yes I own one and was about to set it up but there are rules for neck relief depending on neck rad. Phil
4. Ello all, Anyone know the radius of the neck on a Tanglewood Rebel 4K??? Phil
5. Yeah that's what I thought. Loosening the truss rodd (anti/counter-clockwise) allows the strings to pull more on the neck creating a bigger bow, ie: the looser (anti-clockwise) the truss rod, the more relief you get. Phil
6. Clarification is needed please. Turning to the left means what exactly? Whichever way you turn it, part of the allen key is going left and the opposite side is going right. Please clarify using "clockwise" and "anti-clockwise" Cheers Phil
7. Ello all, Ok I am new to bass and I only ever play in my home studio. I have plenty of lead guitar stuff, (5 electric and 1 acoustic), Peavey Bandit Transtube and Boss GT-10 fx. I have bought my first bass guitar and am debating between the Roland Micro Cube RX and the Roland Cube-30 Bass amplifiers. What do you all reckon for home studio use??? I like the built in effects with both BUT the micro cube has a built in rhythm section which I think would be great for practice. Opinions please folks. Cheers Phil
8. I kinda like the idea of the built in effects, i know it isn't ideal but I don't have much space any more lol and as i'm only learning Given all of your experience is it worth waiting for the Jan sales? Phil
9. Ello all, Bottom line, I just bought a bass, what sub £100 amp should I get? I have a Peavey Bandit Transtube for my guitars could I use that or would a dedicated bass practice amp sound better? i only play at home in my home studio for my own enjoyment. I was thinking of getting the Line 6 Lowdown 15. Thoughts please Phil
10. Hello all, I have just bought my 1st bass. I also have an Ibanez S470, Epiphone Les Paul STD, Squire HMIII (not a Squire strat), Squire Strat and a Peavey tele copy. I also have a Yamaha FG411C electro acoustic. My amp is a Peavey Bandit Transtube (1st generation) and I use a Boss GT10 fx. My bass is a cheap and cheerful Tanglewood Rebel 4 which I will upgrade if I get to a decent level. Phil
