Edited to remove page eating and pointless jazz pics: Bought these to steal the bits off, but it turned out they were just grotty, and are fine, fully functional basses with upgrades. Cleaned them up and sorted the issues. Damage shots: The precision has been upgraded to Seymour duncan basslines active pickups and a Badass II bridge. Precision has a nice flamed neck but both are quite dinged as the photos should show. Nothing deep. If I was keeping them, I'd strip and oil the back of the neck for that silky feel (like the finish on the Wishbass). After £220 Posted
Go either two 2x12 or two 3x10, in both cases with cabs that have the drivers vertically aligned. Use one at smaller gigs, two for the big gigs, and then with the two cabs vertically stacked. The result is far better than either a 4x12 or 6x10, and a much easier haul.
I don't think Matamp's speaker cabinet philosophy and your own are very comparable. Pair of upright 2x12s will be in their repertoire, 3x10 not so much. I actually asked for a similar spec to I suggested including port tunings, and they told me they couldn't help.

Nicotine is soluble in water, so warm water would be a good start I guess.
Does Mike drive his sound then? Or did I miss something really obvious! lol
I kind of missed an 'I'. Mostly because everyone should use drive sometimes, and even when playing clean, you don't need what a tweeter does.

Always turn tweeters off, they don't like drive.
Was it £25 BIN? Someone has placed a bid...
I hate that guy.
There's no element of truth whatsoever in the suggestion that being daft-shaped means it would cost £30 to post it. About £12 if you used Royal Fail. Jon.
I'd charge extra to pack something like that. Plus probably should get better damage cover.

Not convinced that is a mahogany board. Monster chip in it too.

4x12 is easier to make a sensible impedance without funny drivers or excessive rounding. Get 4 Eminence Delta 12LFA in an 8x10 sized box and ported appropriately and you'll have something close enough to an Aguilar GS412 to be awesome.
If that's the one I have now yeah it's a good pedal but I don't really need it any more. He can have it for what I paid Oli for it which was £19 if I remember rightly?
Yeah, that's the one, fairly sure it was a round £20 with post.

I had a Johnson/AXL one, worked ok.
Dibs on this please!
If you message the dude about his BIN price, he might cancel the bid so you can make the BIN, bit late in the day, think it was £180 from memory.

Quite a lot, unless it is to me. Kinda the holy grail of amps.
down side is you can't add something make it louder.
I suspect it will go louder than a pair of Ampeg 4x10s anyway. Someone borrowed shockwave's and drowned out guitars, that were miced through the PA with it.

Anyone ever bought a prized instrument from Cash Converters?

Sometimes its sheer lazyness, a guy from my old work was gonna selll his spector to CC cause he couldn't be arsed to take a photo of it or tell me what it was so I could stick it up here. -
Just wanted this opportunity to be all pretentious and say that I'm not going to be buying this TRC, even though it looks like it would fit my Cimar. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rickenbacker-truss-r...=item2c5415f04b Does anyone believe the claim that this is a "factory reject" TRC? I can really imagine Rickenbacker selling off their reject TRCs cheaply. Not.
Easy to rob their bins though. I've got a bunch of high quality audiophile amp parts going if anyone is interested.
It means that more surface area moves more air - four 10" speakers will obviously have an advantage over two 10" speakers due to their surface area, though they absorb more "power", they offer less resistance to the amp. Speakers don't have "power" as such - they react to the amount of energy fed to them, which they handle according to the limitations of their electrical capability (power handling - so the coils don't melt) and the amount of physical movement they are capable of generating in the air. To put it (over) simply - the amp will generate it's output according to how much it has to work. Two 8 Ohm cabs will give it a resistance of 4 Ohms to work with, which makes it work better. I don't think it is particularly helpful to worry about which cab is absorbing more power - if one is less electrically efficient than another as a result of the particular way they are configured then so be it, that's life! We haven't even touched on wiring schemes (series/parallel etc.) - it makes my brain hurt  Who started this anyway.......
The problem is each cab receives the same power due to the same impedance (not resistance), but the one with 4 speakers spreads it over all 4, whereas the other only to two. So the two will be reaching their excursion limit at half the power of the 4x10. The 4x10 will be louder due to better coupling with the air, and possibly drown out the sound of the protesting 2x10, risking a breakage. Better having a 16ohm 2x10, making a 6x10 with all speakers working the same, at 5.3 ohm, or two cabs the same.

Actually, I'm at work tomorrow afternoon, unless I walk out, so it's a no-go.
