11. hey guys sorry for the n00blet question, but when it comes to doing repairs and stuff, quite frankly i brick it when i think about doing it myself! the problem is on the B, E, A and a bit on the D strings, anything from open strings to the 6th fret seems to buzz quite badly. i really like a low action so i have it set the way i like it. am i simply overdoing it you think? or is it something a bit more serious looking at the neck it seems to be perfectly straight to my eye, so i'm confident it's not a warping issue... think a truss rod adjustment is required? sorry, just a wee bit concerned Cheers Gary
 12. i'm preparing for another dip in to the world of 4 strings, trading one of my 5's hopefully have a better experience than last time, but if not, i'll still have a 5 to go back to
 13.
a bass should have 4 strings, that's what they started with.
it's called evolution
 14. Andy Rourke (reason i started) Greg K Flea Victor Wooten Tim Commerford i know Greg K (the Offspring) will appear a strange choice but this is what i was listening to when i was first playing bass and as a result can almost play right through their first five or six albums to this day
 15. yeah whn i was starting i was getting bass and guitar lessons from the same guy which was a great help. guitar lessons on the saturday then bass lessons on a tuesday which he stopped charging me for in the end as it began to just turn in to more of a jam session rather than a lesson

 23.
Count yourself lucky, I was once in a band with a guitarist who didn't know that he was playing, so every second of every rehearsal was filled with random noodling and he'd respond with a confused "huh?" every time you'd lose patience and shout at him to shut the f*ck up.
i just felt my blood pressure jump a bit as this reminded me of my last guitarist rage
