1. So. Freaking. Tempting. Problem is that I'm located in Holland and that i've never bought a bass from a foreign country before, so i'm a bit anxious about it all..
2. Someone at the dutch bass guitar forum (basgitaarforum.nl) made a video with a lot of samples of the Ring Thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6MrqSXnYPM...player_embedded

This Jazz would be a perfect match for my 83 Fiesta Red JV Precision! Only problems are that I don't have the money at the moment and that I am located in The Netherlands, so shipping will be a lot more..
4. Is the Big Muff still available or is it already sold?
5. bump. Now considering trades + offers.
6. What kind of powersupply? Just a regular 9v adapter or a power supply like a voodoo lab? And is the big muff clone still available?
7. First international sale, so I might do some things wrong. So, for sale is my Ibanez CS-9 Stereo chorus, which is manufactured in 1982 (serial starts with a 2 and it's a black label) and I have been told that old ones are way better than the new ones! Has a few chips here and there (see photo 2), but it's working for the full 100%! Can be really subtle (CE-2B like) or quite over the top (Polychorus like, but still a lot more subtle than the polychorus actually.) The price is something i'm still not sure about.. The reissue sells for €169 (=£144), so I thought something like [s]£95[/s] £90+ postage. I'm also open for trades. And as I'm from The Netherlands, postage costs might be a bit higher as usual.
8. @Wooks79: Same here.. Are you maybe interested in a trade with my Ibanez CS-9?
9. Needs a bump! BTW, have you got my PMs, which I sent over the last 2 days? I'm not getting any response on them and I want to know if the money is on your account and what the trackcode is/ will be.
10. Damn, I wish I had the money right now..
11. Well, I tested a Micro Pog once with a Big John Hairy Balls behind it and that was one of the nicest "driven 8-string" sound i've ever heard, but then i saw the T-rex Octavius on YouTube and that sound i heard then was way better than the MPOG. Another question; what kind of patch cables do you use? They look quite reliable.
12.
Well, finished my board a few days ago. Goes like this: EBS Stanley Clarke Wah-> Chunk Systems AGENT 00FUNK MARK II -> EBS MultiComp-> EBS OctaBass -> T Rex OCTAVIUS -> EBS MultiDrive -> Malekko B:AssMaster -> PiggyFX Bass Boar -> ANALOG BI-CHORUS W/ Depth Options -> EBS TremoLo -> Malekko EKKO 600D -> Aguilar AG500SC+DB112+DB112NT
How does the T-rex Octavius work with bass? I'm thinking about buying it, but the cheapest one I can find is €235 @ Rockpalace Den Haag (yes, i'm from holland), and i haven't got so much money to spend at the moment..
13. I really want the EHX Micro POG, but as you sell the whole thing, I bet there isn't any chance I can get the Micro Pog alone..
14. Been at Bassmatters once when i was 13 or so. Really good stuff there and also a lot of vintage gear. Oh yeah, and really, REALLY good coffee .
15. What's the name and/ or type of the rickenbackeresque bass? Looks quite nice!
16. That '63 P-bass is beautiful! Only thing i would add to it is a maple neck. The bass i would take with me, is my Peavey T-40. My only quality bass now, but it's good enough. (I do not own the left bass anymore)
17. woo, been away almost the whole day and what do you get? 5 new posts in my own personal thread! @Big_Stu: As baskesman said, buying from the UK is pretty cheap right now, due to the exchange rate (correct me if i'm wrong, I don't know the right word for wisselkoers in English). What i also recommend, is checking local/ national 2ndhand sites, like Marktplaats.nl here in Holland. Lots of cool stuff, and affordable most of the time. And ThoMann and Musik-Produktiv are also good alternatives for new stuff, but Musik-Produktiv asks a bit too much for some stuff. @baskesman: Look above. En bedankt voor het verwelkomen! Now, it's time to go to bed.
18. Here we have another happy T-40 owner! Mine's a white 81 with toaster pickups. A lot of useful tones, but most of the time i use the bridge pickup in single coil mode. The only problem is that the in/out of phase switch has been replaced (i put her in a gigbag not so long ago and the Philips Philicorda from the organplayer from my band was on it, so that's how it happened) and that the replaced one only works in 1 position when the the bridge pickup is used. Does anybody know where to get the good switch? 'cause the switch from Allparts is too short. Well, here's a picture of mine. (I do not own the left bass anymore.)
19. Well, as the title says, i'm from Holland. My real name is Gerben, 17 years old and playing bass for 6 or 7 years now. Yes, i started very young, due to a kind of accident; i wanted to play guitar, but there was someone in the neighbourhood who teached bass, so i took some lessons. After 4 years he quit and i did almost nothing with my "bassstudies" for a year or 2, 'til i discovered www.studybass.com and i went back to learning how to play the bassguitar again (and better, this time). So, that was my history on how it started so far. Now something about my gear. My basses inn chronological order: 1. Phoenix HB-33 (P-J with Dimarzio Split P)* 2. Ibanez Soundgear SR500 3. Bach Marcus Miller copy 4. Peavey T-40* 5. Tokai Fretless Jazz Sound My amps in the chronological order: 1. Hartke B-30* 2. Maccs M100* (Originally a Klemt Bs40, but it was modded from 40 valvewatts to 100 valvewatts for a kind of Beatband here in Holland back in the sixties) 3. Hughes & Kettner BK* Effects in chronological order: 1. Behringer BOD100 2. Behringer COH600 3. EHX Russian Big Muff w/ midmod* 4. Morley Power Wah Fuzz 5. Boss Bass Chorus CE-2B* 6. Boss Parametric Bass EQ PQ-3B* 7. EBS Valvedrive 8. Fulltone Bass-Drive I still do own everything with a * behind it So that's it for now. I hope my English is good enough. Any questions? Ask them! Cheers, Gerben
