2. About to take a punt on some Wilkinson tuners for a project, just wondering what experiences you guys have had with their products? Is the price really too good to be true?
3. It's those lightweight basses that really gets my goat. You know, the ones with the short necks and 6 strings
4.
Hi all, newby here. I'm after a five string bass, lefty, lower range of the price bracket please! Anything about? Or any recommendations for models I should be looking at? Please send a Pm if you have anything, and use a large font size - I'm a drummer... Cheers, ears.
Hi stoko, what's your pricerange? After a quick Google your best 'cheap' options seems to be a peavey millennium or a warwick rockbass. If you can stretch a bit further though, you could get a 5 string gl l2000 tribute which is one hell of a bass !
5. Flipping aside still a good price, half of what you would pay for something new of similar quality.

8. I would advise to buy used gear. Might not be all shiny and conveniently delivered in one big box, but you will get a lot more for your money. Also if you do some research and choose carefully, your items should hold their value if you ever want to upgrade, weras reselling unknown starter gear like that would be difficult and you might take a bigger hit in your wallet. Hope this helps, best wishes
9. Saw a guy playing one of these on Saturday. Had a really bright tone that cut through the whole band. Good luck with the sale !

16. ahh shame man. that auction was only up for a couple of hours then! silly seller with a buy it now or best offer, that could easily have gone for £350-400
17. if this was left handed, it wouldnt still be for sale. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WESTONE-THUNDER-11-A...=item336724b4e6
18. pick up a westone thunder! in your price range, and in terms of materials, build quality and tone nothing even comes close for under £200. the neck through models are rarer, but worth looking out for. not sure if its your bag but heres a very nice fretless one, wont be around for long trust me http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WESTONE-THUNDER-11-A...=item336724b4e6
