  1. Which album was that @RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE, I’ve a few of the Volbeat albums and their lead guitarist (at the time) Rob Caggiano, formerly of Anthrax is a very good lead player. Might be worth a revisit, I’d recommend Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie, great album.
  2. I thought at first it must be a new form of music where all of the terms were being used.
  3. Some songs imo are made by the solos, whereas again imo some solos do nothing for the song at all. As with anything all down to the listener, what one likes no doubt another will dislike, but it is in general a followed formula.
  4. I think my fave song by Oasis is Don`t Look Back in Anger, but my fave performance of theirs is their (live) cover of Come on Feel The Noise, the performance of this from their Maine Road gig is excellent.
  5. Yeah, and for me I`d only consider going if it were Oasis reforming, this is just the two brothers agreeing to work together again (although from what I`ve read it seems that Bonehead, who is still friends with them both maybe involved).
  6. No correction required (sounds a bit like a Phil Collins album?) imo the 2013 American Standards are the best range Fender have made
  7. Yeah I think if I were looking at Duff McKagan to James Jamerson as the OP is I’d do the same, get the Duff sound on the amp with tone control fully on on the bass & play with a pick, back off to about 2/3 on the tone control & play fingerstyle for the Jamerson sound.
  8. The punk/Oi scene still gets well attended gigs but both the bands and the audience tend to be mainly the over 50s. Probably due to that being the music of their youth I suppose.

Agreed, there doesn`t seem to be any "big star look-at-me" stuff going on with him.
  10. Vintage Tony Butler Precision, I had one as backup to my Fender US Standard and it was far closer to it than the price tags would suggest, both in playability and sound. Oh, and it’s black/black/maple, that coolest Precision colour scheme.
  11. That’s usually the case, thought the PRO II series isn’t that old, maybe they’re going to go back to US Standard?

Well Keanu did give them some outrageous specs to follow……
  13. Yep, to me the JMJs are incredibly well done, really look like genuine wear - in fact all of my bandmates in both bands thought I’d bought a really old vintage instrument the first time I took it to rehearsal.
  14. Just watching the news, Swiss scientists have developed sugarless chocolate. Equates to me being one happy bunny.
  15. Was pretty much the same for me when The Sex Pistols reformed in ‘96. I wasn’t old enough to see them first time round so all I cared about was finally being able to see my fave band, selling out, not being able to play, foul mouthed, none of it concerned me.
  16. All You Need is Cash
  17. Orange peel.................
  18. I still think the worst relic job I`ve seen is the Fender Joe Strummer Tele, it doesn`t look "worn" at all to me, looks more like the wear has been painted over the finish, just dreadful.
  19. Which I find is the hardest fight of all, I curse my sweet tooth.
  20. If it were the classic line up of the Whats The Story Morning Glory era I`d probably go, but as from what I understand that`s not to be the case I`ll give it a miss. Although musically the later Gem Archer/Andy Bell line-up were good (from what I`ve seen on live clips) to me the classic line up was the best.
  21. That’s a great version!
  22. Looking at this objectively, I see it much along the lines of that TV show that Gok Wan used to do, 10 Years Younger. It’s just implementing a few things here & there that will shave off a few years without making any actual differences. I wouldn’t do it myself but I see it much the same as wearing a suit/shirt/tie to an interview, it’s preparation to achieve something.
  23. I’d look at some form of Ashdown, any issues and they’ll sort, being UK based makes this a doddle.
