  1. If you've been near a Mark Bass stand at a show you'll know that this is their target audience, if you haven't got time to log in and watch just throw your cutlery draw down the stairs and you'll have covered most of the acts.
  2. Sadly if gigging was my main profession I'd be looking at recruitment agencies rather than entertainment ones 😪
  3. I'm surprised any agencies are still in business after this year!
  4. The gigs I've attended as a guest where high standard highly paid mixed gender bands performed were "across the UK". If you're with an agency that sounds like they specialise in same gender indie bands then that's not a surprise, you'd need the stats from across all gigs and agencies to know what's most popular, of course if you're a scruffy all male indie band then you're probably already with the right agency and you need another scruffy front man!
  5. I haven't seen a high end wedding/function band for years that wasn't mixed gender, getting paying gigs for all male scruffy indie/rock bands got so difficult around here that ours disbanded! I've since only been in mixed gender groups.
  6. I'm not sure I've seen that?!
  7. If I had some actual gigs and some spare cash I'd look out for a Funk 5 in sparkle silver.
  8. I think his best live stuff has been on the Modulus basses.
  9. That's because the decent PA speakers are able to do both rather than either or. Come to one of our gigs and unless it comes out of the PA cabs you won't hear it, bass amp went a while ago, monitor wedges about a year later, guitar amp went the end of last year. The guitarist spent thousands on acoustic guitar amps and various special di boxes, during lockdown he tried his acoustic guitar through his Helix pedal board and a 1x10 powered cab, turned out to be the best sound he's ever had!
  10. I've got two 735s , the actual high end bass rig got sold about three months after they arrived!
  11. I see there's understandably quite a few people with matching guitars to the basses we know people for......
  12. I was going to start wheeling out the puns about grass roots and sowing the seeds for new musical projects but I'll get a handle on myself.
  13. I managed 30 seconds, as you were.
  14. Tbf that's more than give for one,lol 🤣
  15. We have a member here that plays professionally full time, he has one of everything at his disposal from vintage to single cut things with weird preamps, I think his Lakland like yours goes out on every main gig. A proper tool for the job no matter what that job turns out to be. Excellent!
  16. Amps....? Cabs.....? Nah can't remember them.
  17. No I can't tbh although I've seen various widths about anyway, my old 2002 Teal was quite narrow iirc, it's not something I've ever been hung up on, my Fender USA Jazz V is like a scaffold plank with strings with wide spacing at the bridge but I'll swap mid set between that and a my Ray 5 which some people find too narrow and tightly spaced!
  18. I can confirm we also had Kiss in our set too, lol.
  19. That's grooving along nicely 👍
  20. In ears and no amps, it's not the future, it's now!
  21. Corey rocking it!
  22. Very nice G&L there blue.
  23. The Beeb could just show any of the previous year's hootenannys on BBC2 to save money towards Skanks ubernanny on BBC1, other than mikel no one would notice anyway!
  24. I realised after starting the thread that I might not have any pictures as I would be too busy playing, whoops.
  25. Was that tw@t with a clock face there or not?
