Would prefer a buyer to try before buying, will pack well for your carrier/risk/insurance and a meetup is more than possible.. I'm based 5 minutes from J12 of the M40.

    I only play 5'ers now, for pretty much all of the reasons stated above.. I play a low B four times in one song in a 30 song set :-) Main squeeze is a Dingwall ABZ with a 35" scale Jazzlaklike as a backup..

    Hi Dan Acoustically it's fine, which leads me to the option of a electronics change.. As I'm a "get the source right" sort of person, I'd likely change the pups first, probably to some split coil nordstrands, and then the preamp... It's not urgent so maybe I'll keep an eye out for some bart soapbar size pickups on here...

    Hi folks, some input requested - I've been sitting on this for just over a year and I don't have any love at the moment.. It just sort of sounds uninspiring.. My other basses are a Dinger ABZ5 and a custom Jazz (lak-a-like) clone (nordstrand gig singles and East J-retro) which I get on much better with. It's a beautifully built bass (until you look in the control cavity) and I'm not sure whether to rip out the existing pickups/pre amp or just move it on.. Thoughts/recommendations?

    Yup, Mark does have opinions but they're mostly coming from a good place.. Good shop, good people, happy to haggle. I would struggle to find a reason to go somewhere else..

    Hi, Been gigging with this for a couple of weeks and have noticed either an anti-guitarist feature or something weird (in my experience - not great with Valve amps, last one was a DR201 more years ago than I care to remember) Basically it gets louder all by itself as the gig goes on - so much so that I have to turn it down. Any thoughts?

    It can come with either one or two speakon connectors, or with a cloth or metal grille... :-) So perfectly valid questions :-)
