Hey Rich, Welcome to BassChat and the world of bass, there's no harm in playing unplugged, just to mess about and get used to your new bass.

like everyone else has said the gsr200 is a great bass for the money, still got mine, one thing to bear in mind though is if it is pre 2004 it will be the passive model, you'll be able to tell by the amount of controls on it, if it has 4 then its one of the newer ones (active), if it has 3 then its the older version (passive)

didn't relize jon was getting his own branded cases, who's making them Hiscox i take it?

Been playing bass for about 7 years, style mainly rock, the odd bit of basic slapping and tapping here and there, play pick and fingerstyle...i should be better than i am.

Not sure cannot find any UK listings for them, though they seem to be LTD editions, the US RRP price is $999
