  2. Yes it is.
  3. Now just £310.00. This amazing emulation of the acoustic control corporation 360 preamplifier with variamp and built in fuzz is up for grabs. Hand made by the renowned JC Maillet and commissioned and imported by myself at great cost. I have used the 360+ for studio recordings, gigs, rehearsals and at home, it has never dissapointed. The preamp sounds fantastic and the fuzz section is the best I have used. I have owned this pedal for a good few years from new, as can be seen it's in pristine condition. Specially sourced UK power supply also included. Will happily run from other sources with the right leads (I used it with a trex chameleon). Fully detailed printed instruction manual also included. Only available as I have more preamplifiers than I can use. Try out/collection always welcome, or UK insured postage for £15.00

  4. Replied to in October. Still available.
  5. We collected it in November but today I'm finally allowed to play the Trace Elliot stack my partner bought me. AH300, 1x15 and 2x10. 😁
  6. That’s the thing, once you back off a stacked volume control or a VVT volume more than one notch out of 10 , I don’t hear any further change. EDIT: Hoping for more variation on a blend…
  7. My J type has Delano pickups, which are actually split coils in a single coil casing. These are wired to a VBT config. I can achieve 5 tonal settings from this, not including the tone control (.100uf) roll off: if 6 o’clock is typical 50:50 blend, 5 and 7 o’clock give either a more neck or bridge flavour of the mid position, whereas anything beyond those points is either all neck or bridge.

  9. This year, as with previous years, I received absolutely bugger all bass related. In fact, the only pressie for me at Ez Towers was a shared one, which was a picture of Wee Ezette, with Santa, in a snow storm frame, which I’m very happy with.
  10. Well spotted! The bass came without the correct 6-32 intonation screw (actually a bolt). The original would be 1 7/16in (39mm) long. I sourced some 2in bolts and cut one a bit longer, as I suspected the original had been lost because it didn’t adequately engage with the bridge saddle. This topic is crying out for a PhD thesis!
  11. For best results, dredge your vintage tonewood from the bottom of a lake, same as they do for those highly expensive drum kits. As for that screw in the G string saddle, I’m selling them for £40,000 each. Right, who wants some Magic Beans then..?
  12. I got a strap with pictures of Fred and Sybil on it ❤️
  13. It will be harder for them to come back and pinch it nothing bass-related as no one here understands bass. Eldest D is pictured playing a @Prosebass 5 at about three years old and twanging a jap jazz bass at around eight months but that’s the closest I got
  14. Courier company finding a new way to drop off a delivery rather than knock on the front door
  15. I've never been asked to bring any kind of bass for a gig or dep. In actual fact i didn't even know what the P-bass sound was until I joined this forum and read so much praise for them and decided to listened to examples. I do have an active bass with two sets of P-style pickups and in recent years put on flats but i doubt it has the authentic tonality of a passive P bass. I've taken it on a few dep gigs and got close enough to the previous bass player's sound that they noticed. I personally don't think I 'need' that sound and It's never gonna be my first call bass sound but if that type of sound was needed, i'd bring it along and see what I could do with it. Sounds monster with rounds on tho.
  16. Bought new, kept it in pedalboard since forever. Actually I’m not even removing it until it sells don’t have the original box though (I moved between places since buying). It has 3M Dual Lock Velcro underneath, and naturally is in full working order. Wasn’t stomped much - I was usually engaging it through paired DMC Micro. And on rare occasions it was - it has the button cap! Highly recommended. I can post through Royal Mail Tracking24 for 5 quid or we can arrange local pickup in London
  17. What if it’s vintage tonewood? 🍿 I’m also assuming that a longer g string screw on the bridge saddle makes it sound different also
  18. Sounds familiar. It takes a lot of persuasion to get in, and then quite a bit more to get it out.
  19. Best for a speedy recovery.
  20. This '77 beastie dropped down the chimney.
  21. Don't know if it's relevant but my 1st gen P10 has a wooden cover.
  22. Your description is spot on. I couldn't of put it better. I simply can't turn mine off.
  23. Well done sir. 'Nuff said.
  24. I wonder if they use cheap hardware? I had to trim 1mm off the end of the speaker jack socket on my Elf head as jacks wouldn't engage properly and vibrated out when I played it! They now 'click' in place.
  25. It's definitely a good purchase if you're into Ric's.
