  2. Stunning wood top !
  3. £50 price reduction Trades - X Touch Universal. Try me with anything, I can only say no 😁 Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  4. I had the stereo and sold it. Regretted it and bought the mono. It really is the Swiss Army knife of amp world. I’ve got a Markbass Evo 1 to try out at the moment which basically, has the Multiamp amps and effects but has two independent channels, which is exactly what I need. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for, for a long time 😁

  7. Basschat first got interested in these over 10 years ago - I blame @Clarky It was that thread that led to me ordering a matching Crazy 88 from Guy Trigg (who seems to be no longer a Member here): https://www.facebook.com/trickyaudio/?locale=en_GB He was/is building them under licence from Greenboy in the USA: https://www.greenboy.us/ https://www.greenboy.us/cabs/view.php?model=Crazy88 Just to confirm those dimensions in metric: H 57cm x W 27cm x D 35cm, Weight 12.5Kg The cab is 4 Ohms.
  8. This cab isn't just for DB but it's enough of a boutique DB item that it's worth posting the link to the sale thread here too.
  9. Trying to wean myself off preamps for use at doubling gigs, so I'm listing a couple today. First up is this one: https://www.bassgearmag.com/radial-tonebone-bassbone-v2-pedal/ Famously built like a tank, it's a classic Swiss Army Knife of a pedal which does pretty much everything you're likely to need at a gig. The tone-sculpting allows either seamless switching between DB and electric or two different tones from a single bass, it has no problems handling piezo pickups, it's a great DI box, etc. etc. etc. Original power supply but - to my annoyance - I can't find the original packaging, even though I'm sure that I have it somewhere. 🙁 Condition is flawless & functional, very nearly pristine. That's why it's "very nearly" pristine ... four little patches of removable velcro on the bottom. Apart from that velcro, it's perfect. Everything works exactly as it should.
  10. Gregor form BassTheWorld is a big fan!
  11. Happy Jack's Great Exotic Sale continues with this quite remarkable pedal. How to describe what it does? Best read this: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/audio-sprockets-tonedexter That review is for the original ToneDexter which is what I am selling. Original packaging, power supply & manual, as you can see. By its very nature, this isn't a pedal that gets chucked into gig bags and knocked about at gigs, so this is in pristine condition. If there's a mark on it, then I can't find it. Smaller than you'd think, too. You can't buy these new any more, but the V2 replacement is this one: https://www.andertons.co.uk/audio-sprockets-tonedexter-2-acoustic-guitar-preamp/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=surfaces&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20736322037&gbraid=0AAAAADujoUrZPlhasp7Z7MDPcIjO7Cnyt&gclid=Cj0KCQjwh5vFBhCyARIsAHBx2wzoSIwW07QUzI0kxlO4PRfLLAuySRBXjVY8ZKQoc6XWvrMM3LVfcRcaArDKEALw_wcB I used this a lot when I was gigging a Zeller ply bass and a Kolstein Busetto, both of those with utterly gorgeous tone, alongside my custom-built Ali-Kat aluminium bass ... which looks astonishing but can't even begin to compete on tone. These days, I no longer actually own a traditional DB of any sort () so the ToneDexter is getting very little use.
  12. Oscar Schmidt by Washburn Guitars. https://www.oscarschmidt.com/instrument-type/autoharps/ 😎
  13. I should probably have mentioned that it comes with the original Owner's Manual.
  14. That's a great sound!
  15. I don’t know about you, but I’m enjoying the descriptions as much as the fascinating collection…
  16. I should probably have mentioned that it comes with the original Owner's Manual.
  17. Very little used since Covid, time to move it on. Comes with all the little bits of cabling etc. Condition is as near pristine as you're likely to find. Full specs are here: https://philjonesbass.net/cms/product-ha-1/

  18. My eye (yes, I have two. Don't worry...) was caught by the cool looking lever at the top of the bridge - does this amazingly manly bass have a lever that deploys the string mutes? Bet MusicMan wish they'd thought of that before adding those fiddly tiny metal round screws under the bridges of Classic Stingrays. Seriously impressed by the intonation calibration markings on the bridge as well. If Bang & Olufsen made basses, they would make basses like this.
  19. A few coats of poly lacquer! On the lookout for an emg soapbar/mm/tb pickup 🤔
  20. Indeed it is. Build thread here.
  21. Ah! I see. Shame about the latency issue! I can understand why you’d choose a hardware option now. I have an aging Mac (well according to Apple it’s old now!) and run many plugins either within a DAW or, like the Cory Wong, stand alone. Latency is negligible. For double bass and electric bass, the EBS Stanley Clark is a nice lil preamp, but I love the Bergantino Super Pre!
  22. Open to offers or trades on this. Could do with the shelf space back!
  23. The Gooleys. Their most famous release being 'You Got Me'
  24. Thanks @PaulThePlug it does have that sort of vibe, but in fact Les Paul created it for Gibson in 1972.
  25. I don't do any deps without prep time and a decent fee (unless there are multiple events I'm needed for with the same band). It saves me hours of short notice stress for little reward and, most importantly, I always like to do the songs (and band I'm depping) with justice....
