Luminous Paint

Recommended Posts

I've used it on loads of stuff. Works great when you give it a decent dose of UV. +1 on getting it smooth though, you'd need to layer it with loads of clear coats and sand back or just accept it as it is.

One idea I've been toying around with is finishing a bass in dayglo flourescent colours, for UV stage lighting.

Don't do it :)

I cut an Ibanez Jem handle into a Washburn Status once (Used a real Jem DY777 for the template),then decided to refinish it in flourecent Yellow and Black tigerstripe, hiding the pick ups and controls in the black. As mentioned above,it's a pain in the ass to sand back flat, but when finished,it looked stunning...........................................

Then I sold it in the shop I worked at,the new owner used it onstage!........Oooops.It shone like the sun under U.V. lights and blinded everyone there
