All the promotional ones I've ever come across have been the nastiest things imaginable. Pick choice is as particular as any other piece of musical equipment. The picks I use are the result of much trial and error to find what suits me and the instruments I play, and produce the sounds I want. As [b]BigRedX[/b] says some promotional picks are not up to the job, but these guys deal with players around the world. When I was hosting a Hospital radio show (The Melodic Rock Show), I asked them to make some picks which I could give as momentos to interviewees. BigRedX Posted December 4, 2009 Share Posted December 4, 2009 Having had a look through all the custom pick vendors sites listed here, I'm sorry to say that there's not one that appears to be able to offer anything close to a pick that I would consider using, in any circumstances other than because I didn't have any of my regular picks available and the song was unplayable finger-style for me. It's not just me being unreasonably fussy. I used to play with a guitarist who used different picks for different songs depending on how he was going to play.
