Name the bass or even the guitars

Anyone know what brand the Bass is  plus the guitars if known

A friend genuinely asked me if I knew and I don't have clue, so anyone  shed any light on it  .? All I know is the photo was taken between 1965 a 1968 in Eastwood Notts so I'm lead to believe although the year is not 100%.

I don't think it's a Rapier. They have bigger scratch plates and rounder headstocks.

 

Maybe something along the lines of a Tiesco or Silvertone would be my guess, but I can't think of a model that looks like any of those.

We have a winner. Scratchplate - corect. Knobs - correct (with the little white switch in front of them). Headstock - correct. 

 

My initial thought was one of the Hofner solidbodies, but controls and scratchplate didn't match.

They are all Burns instruments. Artist Bass and Vibra-Artist Guitars from 1960-62.
