Bobby T Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Hi, I am Bobby. 60yo at this posting. I picked up bass as a hobby about 4 or 5 years ago. And I am loving it. Nothing like the feel and the sound of bass. Played Tuba in band, so when I had to choose guitar or bass, hey. I have never gigged or played with anyone. I need to. I am at that level I can follow a chord progression, know my triads and pentatonic scales, know the fretboard pretty well, have pretty good rhythm. I just need to jam with some folks. I don't have anything expensive, Schecter Silhouette Extreme-4 and an Ibanez SR505E. I use a Fender Rumble 100 to practice. I play most every day. I have a few songs under my fingers for the most part, Don't Stop Believing (why I started playing), Have you ever seen the rain, Burning for you. But I like jamming to backing tracks mostly. 2 Quote
Geek99 Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Hi we have quite a few US members @jd56hawk @Bluewine @StickyDBRmf spring to mind do you have an equivalent of Open Mic nights? That’s where I found people to play with, and bass players are quite rare so no shortage of people offering collaboration 1 Quote

Jolltax Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Hi Bobby, I have exactly the same amp - great choice! ... even has enough power to hold its own in band sessions / gigs J Quote
