Twigman Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 I succumbed to my urge to get a jazz…and negotiated a significant discount from list. It comes with ashtray and pickup cover. I was surprised to find a CoA in the case - i thought that was a custom shop only thing. I haven’t told my band yet but I’m looking forward to their reaction at the next rehearsal whenever that might be….i suspect it’s not black enough for them. 27 Quote
Lozz196 Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 That looks great, really nice vintagey vibe to it 1 Quote
HeadlessBassist Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 (edited) Judging by the colour and type of case (as well as the lollipop tuners), it's an American Vintage II, isn't it? The smell of Nitro Cellulose varnish when you open the case is lovely on these. My American Original Jazz is seven years old now, and still has the smell every time I open the case. 🤪 Edited December 30, 2025 by HeadlessBassist 1 Quote
JapanAxe Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 As a recent Jazz-itch-scratcher, I congratulate you! 1 Quote

Hellzero Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 Congratulations! I love this toilet seat colour too and as I already wrote: They are my favourite Fender colours. 2 Quote

I’ve spent all afternoon noodling on it and I’m surprised how quickly I adjusted to the not so flat fingerboard. It’s actually quite comfortable. I can’t wait for next rehearsal. Is that the bit where you practice takeoff? Or the bit where you compete with siblings for a worm? 😛 Quote

spongebob Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Lovely, same as mine! 🤘Excellent choice - I’m amazed how many people admire the colour…..it really strikes with everyone. 2 Quote
kwmlondon Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Absolutely brilliant. I flipping love a jazz bass, and I adore a matching headstock. Very nice Quote
Misdee Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago That's a lovely bass. If it's as good as my Fender AVRI 74 Jazz Bass that I have had for nearly ten years now then it's an excellent investment. I've thought about one of these for myself but haven't managed to find one that weighs under 9 pounds, which is my weight requirement for a Jazz Bass nowadays. I would swap the scratchplate for an off-white one, but that's just my preference. I expect most people would prefer the Tort, but combined with that shade of green in reminds me too much of those boiled sweets, chocolate limes. Quote
