Lozz196 Posted November 24, 2025 Posted November 24, 2025 Just got myself this little beauty today. Had been looking for a 7-pounder (or under) and this came up at exactly 7lbs. Although itās heavier than my Superlight TT Iām finding that playing full scale basses standing up is becoming a bit of a stretch hence my search. Ā Got it from Guitar Village, my first time of dealing with them which I have to say was excellent.Ā Sounds and plays beautifully, as Iād expect. Iām not really into fake relicing or blocks but somehow these just seem to really suit this bass.Ā 27 Quote

JohnDaBass Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 That's a handsome looking bass Lozz, with so much of everything, character, mojo, presents and a real keeper. What about a dark red tort pick guard? 1 Quote

fretmeister Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 Sandbergās online shop wonāt ship to the UK since the āthingā so if you want a different āguard it will have to be a special order via a UK dealer. Ā Or get someone else to make one. Quote
Lozz196 Posted November 30, 2025 Author Posted November 30, 2025 So an update on this bass, after tinkering around this week getting it set up as I like earlier on this morning I played it for about an hour and a half, just along to fave songs on YouTube and when I put it down I was absolutely buzzing, Iād enjoyed playing it soooo much. Safe to say I consider this was a good purchase. 8 Quote
Lozz196 Posted December 24, 2025 Author Posted December 24, 2025 So last week I used this bass at band practice and noticed that the D & G were lacking in depth, though the volume was there. After reading on here that a few had found this too it looked like the stock strings - 40-100 steel rounds - might have been the issue.Ā Ā So I bought a set of 45-100 DāAddario Chromes, however this didnāt work as was reminded that I just donāt like flats. Ā Next step, a set of DāAddario 45-100 XLs, and I think this has solved it, thereās just much more tone and depth to them, with the added bonus of them being so nice to play, Iād almost forgotten how good DāAddario rounds feel when playing. Another added bonus is Iāve not needed to change the setup, though may need to adjust intonation, will check this out over the Xmas break. 1 Quote
