FlyStraight99 Posted Wednesday at 20:38 Posted Wednesday at 20:38 (edited) Behold! an Ashdown MAG 250. it was a 10 minute drive and was decent to play for a few minutes. Something for a newbie like myself to get started on. it is perhaps too late to ask what you guys think of these, as I’ve already got the amp but what won me was the option to add a cab for 500w total power plenty for future pub gigs eh? Downunderwonder Posted Wednesday at 20:50 Posted Wednesday at 20:50 The Subharmonic button needs to be monitored that it is in the off position before playing. 1 Quote
Reggaebass Posted Wednesday at 20:56 Posted Wednesday at 20:56 Nice score there, well done, I had the 300 for years and it never let me down, it actually put me on quite an ashdown journey though lots of their amps and cabs over the years, they have a great after sales reputation too Quote
Downunderwonder Posted Wednesday at 21:18 Posted Wednesday at 21:18 And welcome to the low end. Quote
gjones Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) That's a great deal. I owned an Ashdown EB 150, which was a beginners combo similar to your's, with a 15 inch speaker. I used it for years and partnered with another 15 inch cab it could be really loud. I still really like the Ashdown sound. Edited 16 hours ago by gjones Quote
Dan Dare Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Good buy and schlepping it will help keep you fit 🙂 Quote
BassmanPaul Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Posts like the OP make me remember all the gigs I played in the UK with a 50W amplifier! How things change eh? LOL 1 Quote
