lee650 Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 (edited) Im about to move into a new flat, and while ive had help I regretably still need to sell gear due to other expenses. listing my MIJ 75RI Fender jazz in natural Ash/maple. Its a bona fide "non export" as it has the proper 70s pickup spacing (there are a few with 60's too) Its a 96 model and was bought NOS in japan and exported over by a pro player who took it to a tech and had full CTS/switcraft pots and Lollar pickups fitted. He then put it in a case and left it for years! the thing is immaculate save for a ding right on the top of the headstock done by me recently 😩 The lollars are quite aggressive so it does the Geddy Lee thing exceptionally well, but also smooths out well for MM tones with the tone control. It has the original bridge and sounds bloody glorious, its pretty much a passive Marcus Miller all you'd need to do is add a preamp (i use a sadowsky pre pedal with it) heartbreaking to sell but i need cash. Id be looking for £850 delivered, itll come with a semi hardcase. Edited 18 hours ago by lee650 13 Quote

Nothingman Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 Wow. That is amazing. I should get my backside in gear and list my Japanese P bass. Coz if I had the cash, I’d be buying this. 1 Quote
lee650 Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 I will do this for £850 delivered, but with the original bridge installed. Quote
Geek99 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I wish that I had not been led astray to the vile underworld of capable well-made five strings that do everything … then I could waste money^H^H^H reward myself with this 1 Quote
Geek99 Posted Monday at 23:49 Posted Monday at 23:49 Honestly @lee650 the lady singer I work with loves the passive tone out of that sire. She’s owns a gretsch 6 but is bass-curious and I keep trying to corrupt her to the righteous path of bass. 1 Quote
lee650 Posted Tuesday at 19:16 Author Posted Tuesday at 19:16 (edited) Will consider a part trade for a sire V5 5 string or Yamaha BB1025/X and cash. Edited Friday at 10:34 by lee650 Quote
LawrenceH Posted Wednesday at 14:41 Posted Wednesday at 14:41 I'm surprised this hasn't sold! What's the weight? Thinking about swapping my own 75RI out for a lighter one due to back issues... Quote

lee650 Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago (edited) This bass no longer has a BA2 bridge, it sounds just as amazing with the standard bridge. Will consider a part trade for a sire V5 5 string or Yamaha BB1025/X and cash. Edited 8 hours ago by lee650 1 Quote
