Dandelion Posted May 8 Posted May 8 I can't find anywhere online.. Do I need to buy the adapter? So I can use any strings? Quote
hubrad Posted May 8 Posted May 8 You'll be looking for 'double ball end' for headless bass. Here's a useful start: https://www.basscentre.com/elites-dbe-series/elites-double-ball-end-v.html Quote

NickD Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Another shout for the Status Hotwires, but when I'm feeling a bit posh, Newtone strings also do double ball end. Quote
Bagman Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I use the LaBella flat found double ball end set on my L2 Steinberger absolutely superb LaBella make a 5 string set as well 1 Quote
lemmywinks Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I would just get the adapter, that way your string choice isn't restricted. If you buy bulk sets of strings in sales it'll pay for itself in no time. 1 Quote

Edit: Being a simple design (no screws or bolts) means you can use the adaptor or go with double ball ends as the fancy takes you. 😀 Edited May 9 by Franticsmurf 1 Quote

Although with the Status strings being two-thirds the price, that may change. Quote
