There's probably a whole lotta wrong in the branding/marketing (it was 1971), but shit they could play, and play a whole lot better than a whole lot of all-male bands that had far more success 👍

I saw them play at Brunel University, I think, in 1971. They were a good band.

I’m happy to see them finding mention today. At the time I had no idea they existed.

Fanny was a great band.

And so was Birtha. Another all female rock band from the early seventies.

With Rosemary Butler on bass. She is a cracking vocalist as well. She regularly sang bv’s for the likes of Jackson Browne, Linda Rondstadt, Boz Scaggs et al.

Old school blues rock and they were about as good as it got. Just superb... but bk then being women they were never going to take over the world... huge pity.
