Rodders Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Not a pedal per se but I picked up a Sine Effects X24 Crossover/Mixer, I had been using a Boss LS-2 to run drive in parallel but it wasn't really cutting it so I figured this was the next step. Trying it out at rehearsal tonight! 2 Quote

Quick update to this, very pleased with it, well worth the price (though only having used it once) I couldn't work out initially why I wasn't getting much volume, then numb nuts finally realised you need clean level too! 1 1 Quote
jimbobothy Posted May 17 Posted May 17 … another Lusithand Alma, but this time the new Mk 3: … these are my favourite comps, the additions for the Mk 3 are a switchable input pad, fast/slow attack times and an improved signal path as far as I know. Great comps. 7 Quote

Great comps. Nice one Unfortunately have yet to ever try one but I'm still on the Diamond Comp which I read is the "inspiration" for the Alma 1 Quote
jimbobothy Posted Monday at 11:32 Posted Monday at 11:32 … the clean blend is useful on the Alma, but it doesn’t have a mid EQ like the Diamond. Both are very nice, but I particularly like the Alma as it’s made in the UK 🇬🇧 1 Quote

Bagman Posted Tuesday at 10:33 Posted Tuesday at 10:33 Diamond always had “Mid EQ” the SGFX reissue just added another threshold point 250 -500 - 900 i prefer the reissue over the original BCP-1 Quote

Bagman Posted Wednesday at 02:57 Posted Wednesday at 02:57 V1 just at 250 V2 add 250 and 900 SGFX 250 500 900 as I said before I have never had a try on a Lustihand but totally a Diamond fanboy tragic👍 Quote

Great comps. Wow, id love to try an Alma, ive an original Diamond Jnr (not the solid gold version) but the clean blend and attack switch are great additions. How many comps do you have Jim? 🤣 Quote

lee650 Posted yesterday at 18:05 Posted yesterday at 18:05 (edited) Ive not posted my last clutch of new pedals, theres been a couple 🤣 Aotearoa intermodulator - built by the wonderful @LukeFRC its a Prunes and custard clone, but very small and rediculously well made. Its a damn funky touch sensitive synthy fuzz. Diamond Bass comp Jnr- id forgotten how great these are, subtle fatness and sheen, works beautifully with other pedals, this is for the big fusion board. MXR Bass chorus Deluxe- i love this pedal, lovely subtle but warm chorus, with a fantastic Flanger and the best colour. EBS Multi comp - one of my favourite, with three great sounding modes. This is for the smaller board used for my rock and soul bands. Emma Okto Nojs - dual pedal, versatile octave and a synthy octave up fuzz as well as an octave down fuzz, very synthy. Subdecay Prometheus filter- very resonant and versatile filter, tons of synthy sounds available, not the easiest to dial in, bur rewarding when you do. Best used with octave /fuzz as its not really a bootsy type filter Edited yesterday at 18:13 by lee650 5 Quote

Top stuff 😎 Edited yesterday at 18:48 by jimbobothy 3 Quote

Stofferson Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Picked up an Ashdown Triple shot on sale at pmt, sounds Really good, I had a double shot a while back, but 3 bands to play with you can get some great tones. 1 Quote
JPJ Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago So this just arrived from the lovely folk over at Anderton’s. I’ve been sans compression on my board for a while since convincing myself I didn’t need it and selling my Spectracomp, but I recently came to the confusion this was a mistake. As much as I loved the Soectracomp, the requirement to engage with software to tweak the parameters made me shy away from a like-for-like replacement, and both the Empress and the Cali 76 were identified as possible candidates. After a late night YouTube session I settled on the Empress. Looking forward to getting to know this over the weekend and then all being well, gig it next weekend. 1 Quote
jimbobothy Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) … err I have this one as well 🤣. The + colour option is a lovely addition to it also 👍🏻. Edited 8 hours ago by jimbobothy 1 Quote

I think this is the version with less character than the one with more character. 😄 the builder said it is in between the 2020s and the previous version. It is noticable for my ears. sounds a bit fuller with a bit more noticable warmth/mids, thou admittedly the difference is on the subtle side. I use it with my Stomp XL setup. 1 Quote
