ped Posted July 19, 2023 Share Posted July 19, 2023 Hi everyone, Today I got the push notification system working on iOS. For those who don't know, this makes Basschat appear as an app on your Home Screen, and enables real time notifications (banners, sounds (not badges yet)) like you get in an app such as Facebook if someone uploads a picture of you naked. To enable this for yourself, simply save Basschat to your Home Screen as below by clicking the share icon whilst on the site: Now it'll appear on your Home Screen: Now open the 'app'. You may need to log in again. Head to Notification Settings (bell icon, then gear icon) and scroll to the bottom and click 'enable in this browser'. You'll get a system popup to confirm that you want Basschat to send notifications (which you can configure through the usual notification setting in iOS later): And now go through your notification settings one by one and activate the 'push' function as required: Any problems let me know...
