£525

Bass Centre 4 string bass Inspired by Guy Pratt's '64 Jazz Bass he calls 'Betsy'. Metallic burgundy mist finish with matching headstock. Macassar ebony fingerboard. EMG pickups. Weight is 4kg. Recently purchased and still in new condition, and unfortunately for me the motivation of this sale is due to an unexpected car repair. Includes gig bag. Delivery also included in Central Scotland but message me for postage cost to other locations in the UK. This is an opportunity to own one of these in new condition, but at a saving from the £595 new price.

Here's a great review of the bass by the talented gent Mike Brooks :

That headstock has a decidedly Lakland look to it. Are these made in the same factory? Be a cracking bass if it’s of that same Skyline quality!

No - these are made in Korea by a company I forget the name of, Lakland is Cort I think

Very nice.

Do you know the weight?

Sure, it's 4kg. I'll add that to the main description. Thanks for the prompt!

100%. There's a fine line between Lakland and Sadowsky 4 string headstocks too

Yeah Lakland and Cort are the factory. Ignore me my bad 😀

They used to be Cort, it's been ESP for a few years.

On the regular Bass Collection models it lists World Musical Instrument Co. Ltd, Korea as the builder

Also good info! I was responding to the comment about Lakland skylines being made by Cort.

How much does it matter where they're built if - as everyone including Guy ((I accept he might have a conflict of interest!) says - they're awesome to play?

100% agree with you Pete. I interpreted the other guys' comments as being positive, given the quality craftsmanship which comes from these overseas factories keeping costs lower on lovely instruments.

      Weekend pricedrop to £1600
See last post below for a new video demo!
Tentatively putting my Overwater up for sale on here. I'm in no rush to sell it but open to offers and trades (possibly with cash my way) for lightweight, 34" scale, 5 string jazzes - Fender, Sadowsky etc.
Anyone who's played one of these knows the kind of quality you can expect from this. It was built for me in 2017 by Chris and the team and would cost around £3500 to have made now I believe. I originally ordered it with an East J Retro which I have since changed for a J Tone giving it a more vintage sound and the versatility of a passive tone control. It will also come with the extra capacitors which are easy to switch out to adjust the roll off of the tone control. I also swapped the pickups from Overwater Ceramic to OWs new Alnico ones. I will include both sets of pickups for the buyer.
Spec is below, let me know if you have any questions, it's in very nearly perfect condition, a few marks on the headstock and a couple of tiny dinks on the top of the neck are pictured below. You are welcome to try in Chessington, KT9. I will also consider posting fully insured.
      - Maple 21 fret bolt on neck
      - Nut 46mm
      -19mm string spacing
      -MOP block inlays
-3mm side dots (1mm bigger than standard for extra visibility)
      -Alder body
      -J Tone Preamp
-OW Noiseless Alnico Pickups (Ceramics for more HiFi sound also included)
      -Hipshot Ultralight Tuners
      -Custom Seafoam Green Finish
      -35" scale
      Many thanks
      Dan

The tiny black mark in the picture below was just rubber and has now been cleaned off.

Fender Jazz bass, Mexican 2016, 4 string. Maple neck with black block inlays and black bindings along fretboard. Natural finish. Great bass, sad to sell it but I'm married to my others and I'd prefer it was being played. Comes with hard case. First time seller on here so don't hesitate to let me know if you need some more info!

Fender Jazz Bass Marcus Miller made in USA, like new and completely original. The bass is from 2007 but it has never been played, as can be seen in the pictures. Perfect paint, perfect keys, perfect electronics. Before putting it on sale it was perfectly set and checked by a specialized lutherie. It's hard to find such models in these conditions. Obviously the case is original, there are all the accessories and certificates and also the tools in the original Fender pouch, that is still sealed. I don't trade with anything.
