Eden Traveller: £400 - dropped £300

Notes from the previous owner

"This was originally built in the USA in 1994 as a WT-300, and was returned at a later date to the Eden factory to be upgraded with the PM-400 power section and a larger toroidal transformer (a very common upgrade for the time).
It's essentially now a WT-400 in terms of output, and certainly feels like it when plugged into my pair of 8ohm Bergantino cabs- it certainly shifts air if you need it to! These early Eden amps truly sound great- there's loads of EQ if you need it, but if your bass sounds good to start with, you'll barely need to touch it.

Since owning it, I've had the head painstakingly overhauled. Every single capacitor on every circuit board has been replaced with top-quality components, and several of the resistors have been substantially upgraded for better reliability and heat-management. The improvements are completed by a brand-new, modern-spec cooling fan, and a Groove Tubes ECC83 now sits on the preamp board. With the new parts fitted, the amp is substantially quieter at idle, with far less background noise than standard, and runs so cool that the fan won't even kick in until you start playing at a decent volume!"

The Markbass SD1200 is a fantastic amp, and at £425 it's a great deal! The headroom on this amp is massive!

Real Eden bargain! Really great heads and for some reason greatly overlooked. Maybe the name isn't sexy enough?  I used an Eden Metro combo for years and hands down it was the best piece of kit I've ever used. Beautiful sound and construction. Glass back forced the reluctant sale. GLWTS
