New all-valve home/small gig rig

Ashdown Little Stubby into a Baer ML112 ❤️❤️

As punchy or as smooth as you like, depending on how you set the feedback control on the amp, and the 6" driver in the cab gives a real presence to the sound in the mix.  Plenty loud enough for me to gig with, too.

Not familiar with those cabs.

Small scale US builder.  Very high quality cab.  Bass Direct used to import them but now there’s no UK dealer.

Just popped an old Mullard into V1.  Oh wow 😲

What Mullard was it and what does it do to the tone/volume?

It's a bit like the sun coming up, isn't it? 🙂

It’s a new old stock ECC81.  Warmer tone, and allows me to push the gain a bit more before it starts to break up.

Lovely! Classy, understated. Nothing like my rigs 🤣
