Reggaebass Posted May 2 Author Posted May 2 (edited) I tend to dip in and out of Alborosie tunes , I used to play a lot of his basslines, I’m liking this and we all recognise the bassline Edited May 2 by Reggaebass 1 1 Quote
Mykesbass Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Is there an original version of Marley's Iron Lion Zion without all the posthumous production and overdubs? Heard it on the radio today and was amazed by how awful I thought it sounded. Would love to hear Bob's original if it exists. 1 Quote

As far as I know this would be one of the original versions before it was remixed in around 91 I think, it’s a lot slower and you can hear the basssline , it’s on the album Songs Of Freedom Rarities , is this the one you heard myke? That's much better. Yes, the posthumous hit hardly sounds like a reggae track. Thanks Tony 👍 1 Quote
taunton-hobbit Posted May 3 Posted May 3 The 'remix' track was aimed at sales, not authenticity ? 😎 Quote
Kazan Posted Thursday at 11:51 Posted Thursday at 11:51 Not perfect and pretty much straight on stage with no rehearsal (I had never played with the drummer until this song) due to some travel issues but was a thrill to play this with Al Anderson who played on the original. In Wrocław, Poland last week: 2 1 Quote

Tandro Posted yesterday at 13:41 Posted yesterday at 13:41 Its Dancehall Friday...and I'm gonna do something a little different. I'm going with some Americans! Bornjamericans had a string of hits back in the day...on well worn riddims of course Enjoy some 90's US Dancehall vibes this weekend. 4 1 Quote

SumOne Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Went to a Mad Professor gig last night, live dubbing. Was a good show also with Joe Ariwa and Ariwa vocalists Abel Miller and I Jah. And a highlight for me was a new mix of this: 2 Quote
