So it's just sat there looking at me with sad eyes. I've had a fair few valve heads over the years (ampeg, superbassman, orange, trace v4)..... And (not just saying this as I'm getting rid of it)..... The laney has definitely been my favourite sounding for me. Lighter and easier to move than a svt 😉 Super versitile, can do modern clean or lovely old school crunch with oodlesoof punch, lots of eq options that are super easy to use.the drive sound you can get with this is phenomenal! really don't know why these haven't gained more popularity tbh? Brand maybe? UK handmade with premium components, built like a tank, you can feel the quality with it. I sent it of to Laneys HQ last week just for a check over/service before i was going to sell it... As a side note they are a excellent company to deal with 🙂 and it's in A1 condition, loaded with premium Tad preamp valves, and 8! Tad kt88 power tubes..... Pure valve cream Ideally I'd like to trade it for a good condition peavey T40, ibanez musician mc2924 or a nice maple necked p bass (jap/USA), stingray, ibanez atk 800e....or something of the sort? 0... Maybe something with Ash body? W. H. Y? Or a sale...... Black, natural or sunburst only please The only amps I might be interested in would be a mesa m6/m9, GK fusion 550, Ampeg 4pro Happy to meet half way etc, collection/trial here is cool.... Also happy to ship if the buyer sorts out own courier at their own risk(I'd do I detailed video to show all is working fine prior to posting) I'll get some proper photos up tomorrow.... As in post I'm happy to securely package in original box if anyone wishes to sort out their own courier to collect.... Or pick up here and trial, or half way meet with vid demo...... binky_bass Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Given these are £1399 new pretty much everywhere online, £550 for a near mint one is crazy. I don't understand why this is still hear! The specification of this amp is incredibly high, I suspect if it had any other badge (Aguilar/Mesa/Ampeg) it would have been scooped up instantaneously.

Maybe a different name on it people might be touting it as one of the best tube heads ever (IMHO it pretty much is)... A superb all British made amp with high end components( gold connectors, premium valves etc) quality built and awesome sounding head.... for peanuts!(in the valve head world) Edited February 8, 2020 by danbowskill
la bam Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Dan, if it helps the sale, dont forget it's also 2 heads in one and has the option to run just the fet solid side of it, just the valve side of it or a mixture of both. Oh, and the fact it has separate sockets for running at 4 and 8ohms which is a massive boost for those who dont want to have to get a new cab (with some other brand heads only running at 2 and 4 ohms). It's a fantastic amp head. 2 1
