I built two so letting this one go. Parts used all new, and all top spec. Gotoh relic Lollipop Tuners Vintage spec Precision wiring loom and red dime capacitor Fender Custom Shop ‘62 pick ups Fender aged relic Pick guard Allparts Fender Precision neck 60’s Decal Custom shop neck plate Custom made black Walnut body by me. Finished in Tru-oil. Strung with La Bella low tension flats. 4kg and a 40mm nut. Plays and sounds superb. The grain in the walnut is beautiful and the sound is excellent. I guess I'm a fan of walnut, either the wood itself or a stain, and Fenders look great to me with (well, without) that 1970's stripped finish. This is like a really classy version of that. Price seems ok to me but i'm no expert on P style basses. Is this not similar to what Limelight do with the Allparts necks etc and they sell for similar on 2nd hand market AFAIK. Gianni "Orlandez" Orlati Posted November 5, 2019 Share Posted November 5, 2019 (edited) The bass body is very nicely finished and good looking indeed as well as the decal on the headstock and the selected tuners (although the tuners are not period-correct and the hootenanny thing behind the headstock is missing) .. however there are true, vintage-reproduction Fender basses that can be purchased for nearly the same price (some of them on this site), which, consequently, can't be considered adequate IMO (I'm providing my reply to the OP's question).
