StuarDaddy Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I am in the market for a back up bassĀ just literally to sit at the side when I start gigging again ( I sold all my back up gear when I packed in years ago but been coaxed out for a gig or two or three!), normally play my 73 Jazz and used to have a JV jazz as my back up, looked at a few squier or mex jazz and precision but not fanciedĀ anything yet. Strangely Iāve never played a Yamaha Bass but Iāve been offered a BB414 from a friend of a friend for Ā£80 quid? Seems a no brainer but are they any good???Ā Quote

jezzaboy Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 They usually go for £160 to £200 so £80 is a bargain. Quote

AndyTravis Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I might have a spare Yamaha bb knob somewhere - it has a tiny chip in it, but is from a 415 I had years ago so will be a similar age. Quote

Shouldve gone up on my lunch break - it was in Knowsley and Iām only working in Ashton-in-Makerfield (about 10Ā miles)Ā wouldāve been a long dinner break...in fact, I havenāt had a dinner break in 2 years Edited February 11, 2019 by AndyTravis Quote
