Indeed I do; a template would be very handy. :)

Go here, there are 2 versions:

1 - with only multiple velocity layers which sounds great

2- With multiple velocity layers and round robins which uses more resources but sounds amazing

It's a vintage Ludwig kit, they created the GUI for Kontakt and Sforzando and a template for Reaper.

Download, open it in Reaper and press play. You'll be amazed at how great it sounds.

Don't forget the manual it explains how to use it in your mixes.

Hi guys,

Just a massive heads up!!

Steven Slate Drums just released their version 5 and they are giving a free version with no iLok registration required.

Just follow the registration process and they'll send you a download link. Enjoy!!

There is also a Kontakt version of this on their site.

...Anyone found SSD5 useful yet?

'Useful' is, perhaps, not the right term, for me. All my drum stuff is useful, and I've used the Platinum SSD in a few compos, but not had the occasion to incorporate this SSD5. I gave it a spin on a 'dummy' track, just to see (and hear...) how it went; it went superbly. High quality sampling, 'dry', so future treatment is easy and not pre-coloured, great control over dynamics (as one would expect...). It'll surely feature one day soon, depending on the Basschat Compo Challenge throwing up a suitable vehicle. One cannot really complain at this price point, though; that would be silly. Altogether Good Stuff, and worth the disk space eaten up.

Finally had some time to try it out but now there's no sound when I tap laptop keys ir midi keys. It worked initially with laptop keys when it was downloaded. Bizarre....

Edit

I managed to work it.  Sounds decent to my ears. Surely I'll find it useful.
