But I went to my email this morning, just about to send Mark a note to tell him I was paying the rest of my outstanding balance. Low and behold, there's an email waiting for me telling me my bass is done! Wasn't expecting it for a few weeks yet Anyway, I went for a 60's base spec. Asked him to replicate the shade of green from the Mexican flag (Mark tells me that the photos aren't totally representative of the colour - the green in question is a bit darker), originally I went for heavy relic, then asked him to reign it in a bit. Have to be honest, it looks stunning and I just can't wait to get my hands on it now!! This is as close as I'm [i]ever[/i] going to get to a YoB Jazz unless my numbers come up or I sell the house from under us, and my holy zarquon it is sooooo tempting. [/quote] Block and bound was something like 120 quid extra, the whole thing came in around 1150. Matching headstock is an extra cost. I've got a hankering for a YoB instrument too, but I'm leaning towards a guitar for that. My year is '83 so I'm guessing, with all respect Sir , from your post that yours is perhaps a more expensive year?
