Whilst I have your attention on the Jaydee. Do any of you Jaydee owners have the problem of when the active switch is on you hear a crackling noise similar to bacon frying.? If so what is it and can it be cured? It seems to improve when you back off the hi eq control.
Probably a dry solder joint or a live short circuit (signal path contacting signal path) Does it change if you jolt the bass with the heel of your palm?

Pearl yellow! It was available but I've never seen one.

We had one in the shop I used to work in in Cardiff.
Also had a Pearl Pink GA24 & a Pearl White Supernatural. Lovely finishes.

Some **new** photos have surfaced of the first Jaydee Bass I owned from 1992!! A Supernatural 'Roadie' 2A four-string Bass in tobacco sunburst finish: -

She is also For Sale here on Basschat. A great Bass and going for a fair price - complete with all the original 'dings' >> http://basschat.co.uk/topic/313876-fs-jaydee-supernatural-bass/

Good to see her again :)

Same as my first Jaydee.

Can you believe that I had trouble selling it for £650??
That is very strange indeed-y! I looked into getting myself a brand new Roadie 2A ~ with brass roller nut, and it would cost over £1,500. I paid £550.00 for this one in 1992.

Neither of you tempted to buy it back :)
I'm getting gas for these JD's.. something I plan to get in my collection someday.

I thought about it for all of five minutes.. but she's like an old girl friend. We've both moved on - but lovely to see her again! B)
