Can anyone help me identify this?

87' Ibanez, bought in USA...

Looks like it's a Roadstar RB700 - right in the middle of this catalogue page:

Also looks like it's a missing link between the Roadstars & Soundgears. Archaeologists will have a field day with it in a few thousand years! :)

Jon.

Hi where did you find the artcore? i have been after one for ages, essentially an AGB140 with double cutaway and nicer finish, got to have one with a darkstar in it

Arh location Austin,Texas why were these basses not inported? the AGB140 is an excellent bass, such good value for money but the ASB140 is MUCH better looking. One day i will import one/find one for the darkstar treatment. There is one on ebay at the moment but after shipping and tax it's a little expensive :)

Hey there chaps,
I'm after a new acoustic bass and I saw the Ibanez Exotic Wood series.

That's the fretless

And that's the Normal one

How nice are they?
My question is, has anyone played one? For £250 for the fretted, I think it sounds like a done deal. Having trouble finding one in non cyber world to try.

Anyone had the pleasure?

A friend of mine is thinking about getting a RB850... It's offered for about £210... It goes in Ebay for about the same price.

Opinions about this series?

To add more, seller says that this Roadstar is fretless... Have there any fretlesses been made actually? :)

Here are given pics...

these are mine, along with my yam trb.

one closest is srx595, bought it when i was in a metal phase, still love it, great crunchy tone. Sometimes can get rex from pantera tone through it.

and the other is a 7 year old srx300. I don't care what people say about all these flash basses people go on about, it may not sound as good (although it does sound rather decent) i havent played anything better (yet), its better than my other srx and yam trb (well just a little). i tried this bass and a cheap spector. i chose the srx. I think this bass was made for me. As stupid as it sounds.

Hey, fellow Ibby-friends

Gotta question for Prestige series owners or historians...
I was looking a bit of info about my Ibanez SR1005EWN Prestige for my new website, and I've found this..

In Ibanez Register it's written that 2005 year 1005EWN Prestige model had Ebony fretboard..

In Ibanez.com I found that SR Prestiges have Rosewood fretboard..

So, did they stop doing them with Ebony fretboard, or there's somewhere a mistake.. ? :)

Cheers,
Faith.
My first ever bass was a SDGR 300FL, wish I'd never sold it.

I'm very tempted by the SRX 08LTD, the black finish with red binding looks awesome, and at £229 would make a nice cheap backup bass.

Wow... that looks the absolute balls!

Does anyone know if the SRX range has the same body shape/size as the SRs? Or is it a bit chunkier?

its basically the same shape just not as rounded, bit of a harsher edge

here is a quick comparison of the body shapes, blue line is SRX and red is SR500, and as you can see theres bugger all difference :)
